Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is Highest Paid with $2.28 Billion!

mark-zuckerberg_Facebook_CEO_PayMark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook is has topped the list of highest paid CEOs. Mark Zuckerberg zoomed to the top spot by taking home a massive $2.28 billion!

He got most of his $2.28 billion from shares that are rightfully his since the launch of Facebook.

We all know that social network and social media are massive emerging technologies but who would have thought it would be enough to put the CEO of a social network as the top gun in the market?

It seems whereas there are still huge swathes of poverty in the world, a great deal of wealth is concentrated in a few hands too. While two of the top ten CEOs (that includes Zuckerberg) got more than a billion dollars, the rest received a 100 million or less.

While overall standards regarding pay scale, perks and amenities have gone up, the reality is that there are still many homeless on the street in the United States. And this is the richest nation in the world right up there with Saudi Arabia. What to say of the rest of the countries (the Third World comes to mind) where the masses barely manage to eke out an existence on meager means.

The top ten CEOs included Richard D. Kinder of Kinder Morgan who stood at #2. Tim cook of Apple was somewhere in between at #5. And the head of Starbucks, Howard Schultz occupied the 8th position in the list of top ten head honchos. It just goes to show that if your business is really successful, you may earn a hefty amount via stocks and shares in the company.
