How to be active at work?

How to be active at work will probably be a question for every person who works. All the late night sleep, stressful day, early working hours, low food consumption, etc.,. play a crucial role for an individual’s burn out.

Here we attempt to give you some tips that will help you to an extend to remain active at workplace.

  • Sleep Well: The first and foremost thing you need to remeber is to have a well sound sleep. Sleeping in untimely hours will never help you to be energetic the next day and it continues the whole weekend unless you make it up on the week ends.  Make a schedule to sleep atleast 7 to 8 hours a day.
  • Start with a healthy Breakfast: One of the best ways to start your day energized and rejuvenated is to have a good, hearty breakfast. Foods that are rich with nutrients to boost energy levels include whole-grains (think oatmeal or breads), protein (eggs or a breakfast meat, such as sausage), low-fat yogurt, or citrus fruit packed with vitamin C (i.e. oranges or grapefruit).
  • Move a lot in office: Anyone will tell you the moment that they sit still for too long they feel like all of their energy has been drained. Sitting at work is no exception to this rule. You need to keep your blood pumping to your muscles to keep you feeling energized. During your workday, get up at least once an hour to move around. This will increase your energy by getting your blood pumping. There are many reasons at work to get up and move during the day. You can walk to a co-worker’s office to ask them a work related question. You can also use this time to refill your drink, or make copies. The key is to just get up and move.
  • Drink Water: Many times when you are feeling your energy slipping at work, you are probably dehydrated. Sipping water as you work through out the day will keep you hydrated and increase your energy levels. Stay away from caffeinated beverages as they will dehydrate you more and only give you a brief burst of energy.
  • Expose yourself to sunlight: The sun is a natural regulator of your energy level. The sun will increase your energy by telling your body that it is daytime. Your body will equate daytime to it being time to get up and move. Open the blinds in your office if you are lucky enough to have a window. If you have no window; take a walk outside on your lunch break. Any exposure to sunlight will help reset your internal clock and increase your energy.
  • Eat wisely: Lunches loaded with high-fat or carbs can make you sleepy, so have something healthy and energy-packed such as a salad or chicken sandwich (without the fatty mayo) on wheat bread.
  • Spend some few mins on pep talk: Always working behind the screens will drill your energy. If possible take a few mins break between an hour or two to have a small pep talk with your colleague. It helps to gain energy!
  • Chocolates Help: When you feel you are done and have no more energy left then trust me take a chocolate. It works for me. Lol. The sweet present in the chocolate will give you back a few hour energy required to work. I do it every evening of my office hours when i feel exhausted.

How to communicate with your boss?

Hours of commitment , yet i got a bug. What will i do now? Shall i report the seriousness to my boss or else i just stay quiet until my boss finds out. These are the following thoughts of an employee working in any organization.

Out of fear of being scolded or degraded, when an employee skips his boss about the occurring defect, the more problem will he be getting after the product is launched. The bug which he skipped will be very complex to rectify once the project develops.

On top of that the employee will surely be scolded of his lack of act when he first spotted the bug. So the better way is to stop the bug then and there itself.

Now that, you found out the bug! you have decided to communicate with your boss! But how???

Here i am giving you some tips on the communication part with your boss.

Know What You Want To Speak

The crucial part before speaking to your boss is Know What You Want To Speak. Frame the things that your mind speaks into a simple grammatical sentence and write it down.

After your utmost sure of what you want to speak . Go forward into your boss room.

Know When You Have to Speak

Yeah! Don’t just rush into your boss room as if he is  a free guy or some office man. Investigate on what your boss is doing and find out his free timings. Cross check with your colleague about the timings. once you verify it enter your boss room.

Find out the Solution for the Problem

This will probably be the first thing which you have to do once you find a bug.  Dont just tell your boss and expect a solution. He may or may not know it.

Your bug or problem will be hard for him to understand at the very moment unless and until he goes through the code . Which will take away the precious production time.

Besides, like you, your boss will have more problems and responsibilities in his shoulder. In the end you will be screwed for the bug.

Instead of waiting for boss action, investigate on your own on how the error occurred.

Google it or by what ever means try and find out 10 possible solutions for the problem.Then visit your boss with the possibilities.

Now he will be happy to hear you out and willingly will help you out with best answer.

In the end, the most important factor that matters is the solution which you have found and how you communicate with the boss!

Daylight Saving time 2011: When do i re-change or forward my clock? When does the Daylight Savings time begin for the year 2011?

These are the questions of many as they seek on the day when they should change their clocks and watches as Daylight Saving Time begin for the year 2011.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) is the practice of temporarily advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring (13 March 2011)  and are adjusted backward in fall (November 7,2011) .

Now its spring time, so does the time to forward one hour in your clock. The daylight Saving time begin at the fall of November 7,2010, where we changed our clock one hour back.

So now we are about to forward the time one hour hence in your clock timing. When should i forward my clock 1 hour hence?

If this is your question, we do have an answer for you. You should change your clock timing for the daylight saving time 2011 precisely at 2 am this March 13,2011 for US/Canada. March 13 falls under Sunday.

If you are from UK, then Daylight Saving Time will return on March 28, 2011.

Facebook, the greatest social media that has embarrassed the people, has some disadvantages with it.

For me, i think too much of applications trouble me and unwanted request hunt me down. Well, if you are like me, trying to delete your private facebook account, i have found out the way to do it.

Disclaimer note:

If you still want to delete your facebook account, just follow the instructions below

Steps:

  1. Visit the permanently facebook account deletion page by Clicking here
  2. login to your Facebook account.
  3. You will get 2 options ‘Submit’ and ‘Cancel’ -> Click on ‘Submit’

Once you click submit, you will get notification that Your Facebook account will be deleted within 14 days. If you want to recover your account, you should do so before 14 days or else the account will be lost forever.

Also, you will get an email from Facebook with the following Subject line in your inbox.

Account Scheduled for Deletion

Hi xxxxxxxxxxxx,

We have received a request to permanently delete your account. Your account has been deactivated from the site and will be permanently deleted within 14 days.

How to save money in high class or pricey restaurant? This is probably the most repeated craziest question that an individual asks himself/herself.

What if you dont have bucks and your girlfriend/boyfriend insist you to take her/him to the restaurant. Sounds cornered!

Here we are providing you the tips on how to escape such situations.

Steps

  1. The most precious step to remember . Start from your home after having some food or water. Dont start empty stomach.
  2. Before ending up in the restaurant, play along with your partner thereby convincing her/him to get a chips or something. (Half of your stomach will be full by now :-)   )
  3. While in restaurant, have just one piece of bread and tell the server to take it away. You don’t need to fill up on the bread basket. If you like, order soup to help you fill up.
  4. Order an appetizer as a starter, another as a main dish and another as a side dish. Have your friend or partner do the same and you’ll be able to sample half the menu! Then you won’t have to order a main dish, plus appetizers are usually smaller and will help with portion control.
  5. Share a dessert. A little sweetness goes a long way, so not only will you save on the bill, but you’ll save calories as well.

Recipe for Chocolate covered Strawberries

How to make a recipe of Chocolate covered with strawberries? Whenever i see the word chocolate i get so hungry everytime. I guess i am addicted to chocolate. Lol!

Well, let us now learn how to actually make a strawberries dipped in choco. Thanks to daily postal, we have instructions on how to make it.

INSTRUCTION:

Ingredients:

* 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
* 3 ounces white chocolate, chopped
* 1 pound strawberries with stems (about 20), washed and dried very well

Directions:

Put the semisweet and white chocolates into 2 separate heatproof medium bowls. Fill 2 medium saucepans with a couple inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Turn off the heat; set the bowls of chocolate over the water to melt. Stir until smooth. (Alternatively, melt the chocolates in a microwave at half power, for 1 minute, stir and then heat for another minute or until melted.)

Once the chocolates are melted and smooth, remove from the heat. Line a sheet pan with parchment or waxed paper. Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip the fruit into the dark chocolate, lift and twist slightly, letting any excess chocolate fall back into the bowl. Set strawberries on the parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the strawberries. Dip a fork in the white chocolate and drizzle the white chocolate over the dipped strawberries.

Set the strawberries aside until the chocolate sets, about 30 minutes.
