Three Eyed Fish caught in Argentina

Posted by Riz On October - 29 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

A Wolf fish having three eyes, has been found in a reservoir near a nuclear power plant in Argentina.

As per the Sun reports, the three eyed fish  was caught by fishermen in Cordoba.

Whow! Seems astonishing to see cartoon coming alive in real life. Three eyed fish, Planet having Two Sun all were fantasies before but not anymore.

Three eyed fish has become a reality today. But wait a min, there is more that catches to the eye.

Three Eyed Fish – The Reality

Local people said pollution spreading from the nuclear plant, which pumps hot water through pipes into the reservoir, may be responsible.

“We were fishing and we got the surprise of getting this rare specimen,” said Julián Zmutt, one of the fishermen who caught the fish. “As it was dark at that time we did not notice, but then you looked at him with a flashlight and saw that he had a third eye.”

The fishermen decided not to eat or sell the fish and sent it for testing to verify whether it was mutated by radiation.

The fish is apparently a mutant, formed due to nuclear contamination. The fish has now been handed over to local scientists to conduct experiments.

Sounds like  new Godzilla is in the making. What do you think on the story? Share with us your views :)

120-year-old Hazi Abdul Noor from India’s Assam’s Satghori village tied the knot with 60-year-old Samoi Bibi,a resident of North Foolbari village with the presence of over 500 guests, including religious heads, who gathered at the sleepy Satghori village in Karimganj district, around 400 km from Assam’s main city of Guwahati, to witness the rare marriage ceremony.

‘Homemade sweets were passed around when Maulana Khairuzzaman, a senior Madrasa teacher, asked for a ‘Kubool’ (agreeing to marry) and a smiling Noor replied in confirmatory by nodding his head,’ said Saiful Ahmed, a local government school teacher who was one of the guests at the ceremony.

‘Noor might very well be the oldest person to get married in this part of India as far as my memory goes,’ Ahmed told IANS.

Displaying his documents, Noor said: ‘My age in the electoral list of the election commission is 116 years, but I am 120.’

In fact, this is not his first marriage.

Salima Khatun, Noor’s first wife, died in 2005. ‘I married Salima when I was 40,’ he said.

Today, he heads a family of 122 members, including two sons, three daughters and numerous grandchildren, most of whom are married. Noor’s eldest daughter is 79.

‘Soon after my mother’s death, my father asked us to find him another wife who would look after him as he needs full-time support,’ said Noor’s eldest son Hazi Azir Uddin, a retired teacher.

‘With the help of one Abdul Hamid of Tripura, we found a new mother, though she’s half his age. She was married once. Long back her husband died and she has no children,’ the son said.

Folks, they say what is yours will be yours. At the age of 120 if this guys is marring the woman, i definitely feel she was born for him. Lol.

Marriages are made in Heaven. And this marriage is definitely a very rare example of the old saying.

National Coffee Day

Posted by Tommy On September - 29 - 20111 COMMENT

September 29th is National Coffee Day. I have been a coffee junkie for so long and this is the first time I am hearing about a National coffee day. So, anyway, coffee day it is. So what should we do on a Coffee Day ?

Well to start coffee is free today at many fast food chains across the country. So just watch out for coffee junkies today, cause they might be a little annoying today.

7-Eleven is offering free coffee from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Krispy Kreme is handing out free cups of its house blend.

For a landmark 2008 study, Harvard researchers tracked 130,000 men and women for up to 24 years and found no evidence linking coffee consumption to increased mortality, according to a university website. Even people who drank up to six cups of coffee a day were at no higher risk of death.

In light of the evidence, Harvard researcher Dr. Rob van Dam, an assistant professor in the department of nutrition at the university’s School of Public Health, concluded: “For the general population, the evidence suggest that coffee drinking doesn’t have any serious detrimental health effects.”

Here are some fun facts about coffee:

Indian Woman swims for 12 hours to save herself

Indian Woman has swam the Ganges river in Bihar for 12 hours to save herself after her husband pushed her into the river to murder her.

Amrita, a resident of Aurangabad district, married her husband Adarsh two years ago in Amritsar where both met while working in the same office.

Her husband threw her into a river to get rid off her probably not knowing that she was a good swimmer. Amrita Kumari is alive, but only after an arduous 12-hour struggle across the Ganges in Bihar.

‘My husband was sure that I will be killed after he pushed me off the bridge into the Ganges. But I was saved because I know swimming,’ Amrita, in her 20s, told IANS Friday.

Adarsh Kumar allegedly pushed Amrita off the Mahatma Gandhi Setu bridge here in this Bihar capital late Wednesday.

‘I swam for nearly 12 hours in the middle of the river trying to reach the bank. Finally, when I was about to become unconscious, a strong water current pushed me to the river bank,’ Amrita said.

Amrita recalled that for large stretches, the strong current pushed her back into the middle of the stream.

Some boatmen and local villagers spotted her lying unconscious on the bank, near Rasulpur village in Samastipur district, about 60 km from here. They tried to revive her and informed the local police.

Police have begun searching for Adarsh Kumar and his family, which they believe, was opposed to their inter-caste marriage.

A Texas teen is facing theft charges for duping her community and collecting over $17,000 in donations as they believed that she was suffering from cancer.

Wow, that is a lot of money especially if its coming from just one community. Her community believed that she was dying of cancer and wanted to help her pay her medical expenses.

Ruth Angelica Gomez, 18, of Horizon City, Texas, created the Achieve the Dream foundation, under which she held fund-raising events and solicited donations to help cure her leukemia, which she had said would claim her life before the year ended, Horizon City police Detective Liliana Medina said.

Yet there was no indication that Gomez ever had cancer, police said.

She is being charged with felony theft by deception, punishable by up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine.  She is probably going to need another fund raiser to pay it.

“Ms. Gomez stated that she had been diagnosed with a terminal illness (Leukemia) and was under treatment for the disease, although Ms. Gomez does not have any form of cancer,” Medina said.

“She did hold many fund-raisers in the area of Horizon City and El Paso. People began to suspect that she may not be sick, so an investigation ensued.”

There are no other suspects in the case, Medina said.

The foundation’s website has been taken down, but an archive of the page shows teens and children wearing the group’s green ribbon logo and a message from Gomez.

“Blessed by God’s will, every child was brought to this world for a reason,” the message on the home page reads. “So being every child should have the right to fight for their life, Achieve the Dream is dedicated to helping children with Leukemia have the chance to beat their cancer and live a normal life.”

Donations to the “Achieve the Dream” Foundation came in the form of cash and checks directly deposited to her foundation, as well as gift cards, and in-kind donations to sell for fund-raising, Medina said.

A Teenager, aged 17, comes out of forest, goes straight to Berlin stating, “I lived in the Forest with my father for five years. I have returned back to the land because of my father’s dead.”

The Boy, who is unable to recall in which part of Germany he resided, says “He remembers only his name Ray.”

The Boy continues, ” After the dead of my mother, My father and i went to the woods and started leaving there.”

“We, sometimes stayed in the tents and sometimes in the hut which we found at the forest”, the boy added.

No evidence of Crime

Police are investigating whether the boy is speaking the truth. The Angle of murder is also being considered here.

“We have sent appeals for help to all European countries via Interpol… we really have no idea where he comes from,” Michael Maas, a spokesman for the Berlin police said.

Police say the boy claims he followed his compass and went northwards after his father died, reaching Berlin.

The boy has been medically examined and is physically healthy.

Police say they have no evidence of a crime having been committed.

Two Apple employees reportedly have lost an unreleased iPhone prototype which is  suspected to have been sold online.

The new un-released iPhone prototype model was an experiment from Apple with far more greater features when compared to its previous iPhone releases.

After an failed attempt to rescue the lost iphone prototype, Apple employees addressed San Francisco police to help them in search for the lost prototype.

According to the Police statement, ” Four San Francisco police officers went to the home in the 500 block of Anderson Street in the Ingleside district with Apple employees after the company contacted the police for help in finding “a lost item.”

“The two Apple employees met with the resident and then went into the house to look for the lost item,” the police said. “The Apple employees did not find the lost item and left the house.”

CNET reported on Aug. 31 that an Apple employee lost an unreleased iPhone. The device was taken from a Mexican restaurant and bar and may have been sold on Craigslist, a website that offers online classified ads, for $200, CNET reported. An Apple employee last year lost a prototype iPhone in a bar.

Che, this is terrible for both the employees. When Apple as a company is fighting hard against those who had copied its design on their tablets, its own employees are careless on guarding the originality of the company property itself!
