Google Screenwise- A Privacy stealer?

Posted by Riz On February - 13 - 2012ADD COMMENTS

Google has announced financial compensation to all those who help Google track their Online activity including all their private browsing stuff which means, after agreeing with Google for the small compensation, a User is actually giving away his every little online activity both Personal and Official activity.

So Google will know, when you

  • Browse online
  • Your Office work [if you do it in your PC]
  • Give a Facebook status
  • Give a twitter tweet
  • Watch a YouTube video
  • and the list goes on to all that you do online.

How is it Possible?

Well, Google has a program called Screenwise which is a plugin to be installed in Google Chrome alone. This Plugin will work only with Google Chrome browser.

Once, you agree with Google and Sign up to sell your personal activity, this Plugin will take note of all that you do to Google.

In return, Google will pay $5 to your Amazon account. For every three months you continue to provide Google with browsing data, you’ll earn an addition $5 gift card, up to a total of $25. Only those over 13 can participate and, perhaps not surprisingly, signups are currently on hold due to overwhelming interest.

OMG! I dont understand how People are willing to give away their Personal activity for a mere $5.

I would recommend the general users to stay away from Google’s Screenwise

$900 Trillion lawsuit by a mom against the city has made the center of headlines today.

Fausat Ogunbayo, aged 46, is suing the city for $900,000,000,000,000 — that’s $900 trillion — for taking her two kids and putting them into a Queens foster home in 2008.

She says the city made it difficult for her to see her two sons, who she claims fared much worse under its care.

According to Yahoo News, In her lawsuit, obtained by The Smoking Gun, Ogunbayo listed her grievances as follows:

“For causing plaintiff substantial economic hardship; for causing plaintiff substantial economic injuries; for depriving plaintiff and plaintiff children’s Civil Right, 42 U.S.C. section 1983; for depriving plaintiff and plaintiff’s children, the right to family integrity; for depriving plaintiff and plaintiff’s children, the right to life, liberty, property and the right guaranteed by statute; for disregarding the probability of plaintiff’s children, suffering emotional and mental distress.”

The city says that Ogunbayo is “mentally unstable and not currently receiving treatment,” according to court papers, and that’s why the boys, now 13 and 16, were removed.

A neighbor, Robert Maddox, said, “She has this ritual where, every night around 2:30 a.m. or so, she starts chanting things like, ‘Fight those who fight against me,’ and ‘Hallelujah.’ ”

Man, i will be counting minutes to see the judgement of this trail. Honestly, the annual income of the US is $14 trillion. If she manages to win the suit, she can single handedly clear all the debts of not only the state but also debt prone Europe and the world. Lol!

By the way, With that huge money, she could make a space travel to each and every planet. :)

Greece Debt Talks Fail, Greece Doomed ?

Posted by Tommy On February - 9 - 2012ADD COMMENTS

The $173 Billion bailout talks critical for Greece’s survival failed after political leaders failed to accept the entire batch of new austerity measures that are demanded by creditors but have fueled outrage in the recession-hit country.

After marathon meetings with party leaders and international debt inspectors that ended about 5 a.m. (0300GMT), Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos headed to Brussels to meet his counterparts from the other 17 euro countries, hoping to rescue the agreement and stave off bankruptcy.

“It is up to the eurogroup to decide at the highest level if the conditions are in place to proceed with the second (bailout) program,” said Amadeu Altafaj Tardio, a spokesman for the European Commission, one of the three institutions charged with negotiating the rescue conditions.

Venizelos issued a dramatic plea to the coalition leaders to swiftly resolve their differences, warning that Greece’s “survival over the coming years” depends on the bailout and a related debt-relief agreement with private creditors.

“It will determine whether the country remains in the eurozone or whether its place in Europe will be endangered,” said Venizelos. “There is no room for any other expediency: we must look Greeks in the eye, look at the national interest and the interest of our children.”

Markets nevertheless seemed hopeful that a deal will eventually be reached, with analysts suggesting the political leaders wanted to show their resistance to the foreign demands ahead of general elections later this year.

Greece’s economic situation is dire — unemployment hit a record 20.9 percent in November, up from 18.2 percent in the previous month, according to the national statistics agency.

In all, more than a million people were without a job. In the 15-24 age group, unemployment reached 48 percent.

A disorderly bankruptcy by Greece would likely lead to its exit from the euro common currency, a situation that European officials have insisted is impossible because it would hurt other weak countries like Portugal, Ireland and Italy.

Without help, Greece would not have enough money to pay off a big bond payment due on March. 20, triggering a default that risks sending shockwaves throughout financial markets and the global economy.

Greece has been kept solvent since May 2010 by payments from a euro110 billion ($145 billion) international rescue loan package. When it became clear the money would not be enough, a second bailout was decided last October.

NYPD under fire for spying Muslim community

Posted by Riz On February - 4 - 2012ADD COMMENTS

They did it again! New York Police Department, is under fire after civil complaints from all across the country pour in demanding legal explanation on spying over a Muslim community.

The complaint comes after an internal memo became public recommending [Spying?] increased surveillance of the city’s Shia community.

Top police officials insist the police only follow-up legitimate leads.

The memo, part of a 2006 report, recommended expanding the NYPD’s spying operation on Shia mosques and Muslim centres. It was addressed to Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.

On Thursday, Mr Kelly called the memo a “contingency plan” in case of military conflict between the US and Iran, although no such language is used in the document.

The report was made public by the Associated Press as part of a series of reports on the NYPD’s response to terrorism.

The police commissioner is already under fire for appearing in the “The Third Jihad”, a controversial movie about Muslims.

Letter to Attorney General

In their letter, addressed to Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, thirty-three groups said that the memo further uncovered “a disturbing picture about the NYPD’s institutional approach” to the Muslim community that “erodes the public’s trust and confidence”.

“The need to hold the NYPD accountable for its flagrant use of discriminatory policing practices has never been more glaring and urgent,” the letter says.

Mr Schneiderman’s office did not offer comment on the letter.

Mosque president Asad Sadiq of Bait-ul-Qaim in New Jersey, one of the institutions listed in the NYPD memo, said the department’s policy was noticeably different than that of the FBI, which has occasional meetings with him to discuss security issues.

Mr Sadiq said the NYPD would be more than welcome in his mosque if they came in announced, like the FBI does.

“Just because we are the same religion doesn’t mean we’re going to stand up and harm the United States,” he told the Associated Press. “It’s really absurd.”

About 100 people are feared trapped inside a ferry that sank in rough weather off Papua New Guinea, a rescue official said on Friday, a day after the crowded boat went down with about 350 people on board.

Rescuers plucked 238 people from the sea off PNG’s northeast coast after the MV Rabaul Queen was hit by three large waves and quickly sank, Rony Naigu, a rescue official from Papua New Guinea’s maritime safety authority, said on Friday.

While a definitive passenger list was not available, rescuers believed 352 people were on board the ferry when it sank and about 100 people were thought to have been trapped inside, Naigu told Reuters by telephone.

Naigu, who spent Thursday at the scene, said survivors told how the ferry rolled and sank in deep water after it was hit by the waves in stormy conditions.

Scores of passengers survived by clinging to debris before being picked up by at least six merchant vessels that diverted to the scene after being alerted by Australian maritime safety authorities.

“We found a number of (opened liferaft) capsules with no people in them,” Naigu said.

As rescuers resumed their search on Friday, relatives of those missing vented their anger over a lack of information from authorities, Australian media reported.

Survivors had been taken to Lae on PNG’s north coast early on Friday, said Nurur Rahman, acting chief of Papua New Guinea’s maritime authority.

“As you would expect people who have been in the water for such a long time have a bit of dehydration, and they are very tired,” Rahman told Reuters by telephone.

No bodies had been recovered on Thursday before nightfall halted the search, he added.

Police in West New Britain said relatives angry at the lack of information about their family members on the ship threw stones at the offices of the ferry operators, Rabaul Shipping, Australian Broadcasting Corporation Radio reported.

“There were a lot of people crying and then they wanted to know the fate of their loved ones, the people actually who were on board the Rabaul ship,” Inspector Samson Siguyaru said.

India to buy Iranian Oil with Gold

Posted by Riz On January - 24 - 20121 COMMENT

Oh My! This is interesting! Very very interesting! India has agreed to buy Iranian Oil  with gold instead of  Dollars as per latest reports.

Earlier last century, American Dollars became a world trademark currency, because of Oil rich countries selling their  Oil for Dollars defying gold.

Now, Iran has taken the initiative to sell the Oil for Gold and guess who penned the deal first. India!!!

Not Just India, Beijing is around the corner for the same deal and Russia is next door to pen the deal.

Man, this is exciting, Asian Countries use 40 percent of Iranian oil whereas Europe use 20 percent.

Seems like EU ban sanction on Iran will not work out and it  will be a very tough time for Europe to sustain its Oil supply.

Readers may think, whats exciting with the news.

See the Bigger picture, By selling the Oil for Gold to India, China, the worlds most rich nations in terms of resource and manpower, the dollar will be killed.

Just like the Dollar killed the Gold early 20th century, People will go back to Gold and Silver tradings, Just like our Ancestors traded.

The idea to sell Oil for Gold was first proposed by late Libyan leader  Gadaffi.  Now, Iran has about to implement it with India’s help.

Uncle Sam will be very angry on India , i think.
