Well to start on it, Goliath Tiger fish is not a friendly fish. Not at all!  If you come across this fish. It will take out a pound of flesh from you in a flash. So Beware of it Lol..

The Goliath tiger fish can be found  on the river Congo and Sangha in Africa. This fish is also named Monster fish.

Goliath Tiger Fish are usually silvery white, yellow luster and sometimes also found with a metallic orange color. The exciting fact about this fish is, as the name says Monster fish, goliath tiger attacks on his own family if it is hungry.

Very bad character, stay away from it!!

Himalayan glaciers one of the world’s  biggest glaciers which is the home for many perennial rivers flowing from it has been dated to become extinct within few years from now.

In order to study the changes that is causing the glaciers meltdown, an US organization installed the solar panel powered cameras on vertical rock faces with the aim of monitoring melting of glaciers over the next two years.

The camera is designed to take the pictures of the glaciers every 30 minutes and this process will continue till 6 months. After that, a short video will be made through this pictures caught in the life span of 6 months and will be studied.

So far, the image was taken through satellites. This is the first time a video camera is used to study the glaciers. Not only Himalayas, but regions like Alaska, Iceland, Greenland and Bolivia is also being studied at the moment.

I reckon there is something serious issue behind it.  This act proves that the climate changes has already affected the world.

Happy news is on the way to former world no 1 Lleyton Hewitt. The Australian tennis sensation has  confirmed that he is expecting their third child this december.

The news of pregancy was a little surprise to both Hewitt and his wife bec.

“We were thinking we’d wait until Lleyton retires (from professional tennis) because traveling with two is plenty. It’s a happy surprise though,” The Herald Sun quoted Bec, as saying.

“It wasn’t fully planned, but it’s fantastic. We were always going to have a third at some stage so it was exciting news,” Lleyton, who is currently ranked 33rd in the world, added.

The couple already has two children Mia, 4, and Cruz, 17 months.

Israel Attacks Aid Ship "Flotilla"

Israel attacks in gruesome manner and killed 16 peace activists on board the aid ship “Flotilla”. The attacked was planned as they did not want any aid to reach Gaza. This is one of the most worst massacre carried out by a army on an unarmed Aid Ship. Israeli naval commandos stormed a flotilla of ships carrying aid and hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists to the blockaded Gaza Strip on Monday, killing nine passengers in a botched raid that provoked international outrage and a diplomatic crisis.

President Barack Obama voiced “deep regret” over the raid and “expressed the importance of learning all the facts and circumstances” surrounding the incident.

The activists were headed to Gaza to draw attention to the blockade, which Israel and Egypt imposed after the militant Hamas group seized the territory of 1.5 million Palestinians in 2007.

There were conflicting accounts of what happened early Monday, with activists claiming the Israelis opened fire without provocation and Israel insisting its forces fired in self defense.

The killing took place in international waters. Among the injured, leader of the Islamic Movement’s northern branch in the occupied territories Sheikh Raed Salah whose injuries are serious, according to reports.

Israeli marine commandos had opened fire as they stormed one of the ships the (Mavi Marmara). Israeli television justified the commandos’ massacre claiming that the soldiers were attacked with knives and axes, but did not elaborate. The Israeli censor blocks all reports on the activists murdered on the flotilla.

According to a reporter on one of the ships, the Israeli occupation army raided all vessels from the sea and air at the same time and informed all of the passengers that they were under arrest.

The Israeli vessels, the report said, attacked the flotilla in international waters with aerial reinforcement, using gas. A Qatari television channel broadcast live the dramatic images from the ships, with Hamas spokespeople giving interviews and vowing to punish Israel for “the new crime”.

The images showed Commando soldiers with their faces covered. A fighter in uniform, wearing a gas mask, tried to block the camera with his hand, while more and more troops raided the ship after sliding down from a helicopter using a rope.

One of the passengers on the ship called out to the Navy vessels, “Don’t attack us. We are unarmed civilians. There are injured people onboard.”

The calls were first made in English, and were later joined by Knesset Member Hanin Zuabi (Balad), who called out to the ships in Hebrew.

Turkey summoned the Israeli ambassador to the Turkish foreign ministry Monday. “The ambassador (Gabby Levy) was summoned to the foreign ministry. We will convey our reaction in the strongest terms,” the diplomat, who asked not to be named, told AFP.

Nine victims from today are from Turkey while the rest from various countries. Israel upon its  crime closed all Gaza crossings while the boats are being taken to Haifa port.

The heinous crime perpetrated today reminds us of the USS liberty June 8, 1967. In that action dozens of American soldiers were killed as Israel attacked their naval boat.

Rave Motion Pictures

Rave Motion Pictures has been buying a lot of theaters across the US. Now is set to further expand by buying upto 39 cinemas nationwide. This will boost it and make it the 5th largest Theater Circuit in the US based on the number of screens. Rave Motion Pictures is a Dallas-based company.

Rave and its managers together with a new group of investors have formed Rave Cinemas LLC to make the acquisitions. In a statement to the publick, Rave Cinemas said Monday that it has already acquired 29 theaters from National Amusements Inc. and plans to buy up to six more from the company. It will operate the news cinemas on top of their already established 21 theaters.

Looks like some big deals are taking place!

NCAA Baseball Championship 2010

The NCAA Baseball Regionals 2010 has announced the 16 regional sites for the 64th annual NCAA Division Baseball Championship.

The 16 regional sites, with host institutions and records are as follows:

The 2010 NCAA Baseball regional brackets are set to be released tomorrow, Memorial Day. The announcement will come live on ESPN bright and early (for Californians), unveiling the 64 teams that will all be battling it out for a chance to make it to the 2010 College World Series in June.

The remaining at-large teams, top-eight national seeds, first-round regional pairings and site assignments will be announced at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time, Monday, May 31, during a live, half-hour program on ESPNHD. The committee will set the entire 64-team bracket through both the super regionals and the first round of the Men’s College World Series, and will not reseed the field after play begins.

Selection of the eight super regional hosts will be announced on www.NCAA.com/cws, Monday, June 7 at approximately 11 p.m. (ET).

There are 30 Division I conferences which will receive an automatic berth in the field of 64, along with 34 at-large selections. The 64th Men’s College World Series begins play Saturday, June 19, at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.
