Apple iphone4 problems

Posted by Riz On June - 24 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Apple iphone 4 has just been released and boy, it lands up in  various issues and dissatisfaction from the customers. Tut, tut, this time it didnt worked for Apple.

It seems that customer are really facing issues with iphone. So here is a post which tells you 5 big flaws of the apple iphone 4 (source : Yahoo)

Here are five bruises on the new Apple iPhone that may engender complaint.

No. 5: A Skimpy Camera

As smartphone challengers like HTC, Motorola (MOTNews) and Nokia (NOKNews) embrace the megapixel race with 8-megapixel and 12-megapixel cameras, Apple’s new iPhone keeps it cheap with a 5-megapixel model.

This will be a bigger point of contention this week when Verizon (VZNews) and Motorola unveil the Droid X Wednesday, the newest Google (GOOGNews) Android phone, which features an 8-megapixel camera. Android phone giant HTC has also been generous with 8-megapixel cameras in its Droid Incredible and Sprint’s (SNews) EVO.

Meanwhile, Apple, always the laggard in cameras, won’t enter the 8-megapixel class until next year when it debuts a sweet Sony (SNENews) camera in its 2011 iPhone. But by then, who knows where the rest of the pack will be?

No. 4: No Swype

If you’ve seen Swype or used it, you know why this omission makes the list. Typing on a touchscreen is a challenge as the flat glass surface offers few clues to where your fat fingers are precisely making contact. It’s an error-prone process that gives one a longing for the raised keys of the BlackBerry keyboard from Research In Motion (RIMMNews).

But the Swype keypad software helps tame the new medium. Swype follows the pattern of your finger movements to type words or predict words without the usual hunting and pecking.

Apple did wonders with the touchscreen, but Swype makes it more useful for those among us who like to type.

No. 3: Video Calling

Okay, it’s not totally bait and switch, but Apple’s hot new iPhone video calling feature, FaceTime, comes with lots of asterisks and a limited applicability.

Say you want to video chat with someone using the Apple iPhone 4. That someone has to have a WiFi connection and he has to use the same application on his own iPhone 4. You’re looking at a small club of people — not exactly an application of global Skype-like proportions.

No. 2: iPhone 4 Shortages

Strong demand is only half the story for Apple’s iPhone sales debut. Limited supply is the other. A shortage of in-plane display panels, the crucial part of Apple’s touted retina display screens, has forced Apple’s contract manufacturers to cut production rates in half to 1 million iPhones a month.

This means there won’t be enough iPhones on hand to meet the presumably high demand. Though it’s not a terrible problem to have if you are a gadget maker, sellouts and delivery delays will mar Apple’s big iPhone 4 debut. The frustration could push buyers toward other phones.

No. 1: No Verizon iPhone.

A new iPhone is big. But a new iPhone at Verizon? Much bigger.

Apple’s exclusive partnership with AT&T (TNews) has been a point of discord among iPhone owners and it has tarnished the public perception of both companies. It also has done almost nothing for AT&T’s stock.

Investors have been waiting for the Verizon iPhone. But that’s apparently not going to happen until next year, if ever.

So Apple fans who want the new iPhone have to lock in for another two years with AT&T. This scenario is not particularly pleasant considering that AT&T’s new subscriber plans put penalties on people (like iPhone users) who happen to be heavy data users.

Review on the crazies 2010:

If your a disaster movie lover , then this film is really a worth to watch. This movie is same as all other movies  which involves virus outbreak. But it also has some interesting plots  that is really good.

The story revolves  around a small town.  The inhabitants of the town is happy under a sheriff.  While attending a crime scene, the sheriff  discovers about a plane which crashed in the water supply of the town.

Sheriff learns from further investigation  that the plane had some biological chemical. Right after the discovery, the life of a common man of the town is disturned as  man with navy dress turns out in the town and capturing every inhabitants of the town.

The Story ends with “how the sheriff and his wife manages to escape the wrath of the navy who have the common goal to destroy each and every inhabitant of the town”

I rate it 7 for 10.

I like this movie.

This is a real real shocker. World champions and defending champions Italy Knocked out of the foot ball world cup to slovakia.

The match was interesting to the last minute and the Italian team score was 2 goal against slovakia’s 3.

Both the Champions and the runner’s up of 2006 football world cup knocked out from this world cup.

The Asians are financially now the king of the world. They have already advanced in so many fields it seems only money was their problem. But now that too is fixed. It will be only a matter of time before the Europeans start seeking Asian immigration, am just saying.

Asian millionaires overtake Europeans in rich list

Asian millionaires overtake Europeans in rich list

The net wealth of Asian millionaires has eclipsed that of rich Europeans for the first time, largely because of the relative health of stock markets in Hong Kong, India and China last year, according to a new survey.

The annual Merrill Lynch Wealth Management /Capgemini analysis of investors with $1m or more in assets found that as of late last year, there were 3m millionaires in both the Asia-Pacific and Europe. The survey quantified the wealth held in Asia at $9,700bn, compared with $9,500bn in Europe.

Nick Tucker, head of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management’s operations for the UK and Ireland, said: “It’s not a bubble. Asia has caught up with Europe in terms of its high-net worth population and their wealth.”

The survey defines millionaires as people with net financial wealth of more than $1m, excluding their primary residence.

The rise of Asian millionaires is being tracked by the industry that manages the fortunes of rich individuals, with banks moving senior staff to Singapore and Hong Kong to chase new clients.

After taking a hit in 2008 during the financial crisis, the wealth of the world’s millionaires recovered last year with the upswing in stock markets, rising 19 per cent to $39,000bn.

North Americans are still the best-off. At the end of last year, the continent was home to 3.1m millionaires worth $10,700bn.

The US, Japan and Germany produce about half of all millionaires, who were numbered at 10m in 2009. China was ranked fourth, boasting 477,000 individuals with $1m or more in their accounts. India is catching up, having seen the number of millionaires rise more than 50 per cent to 126,756 in 2009.

Though the UK economy shrank, British millionaires swelled to 448,100, up 24 per cent from 2008. Russian millionaires also saw their ranks rise to 117,700.

The Middle East struggled, with the United Arab Emirates losing 19 per cent of its millionaires in 2009 as the Dubai property crisis took its toll.

Investments by the wealthy in fixed-income instruments crept up to 31 per cent from 29 per cent in 2008 and allocations to equities also increased slightly to 29 per cent from 25 per cent in the previous year.

Cash holdings dropped, meanwhile, as investors grew dissatisfied with the poor rates on high street banks’ savings accounts.

Demand for art, coins, antiques and wines picked up again toward the tail end of last year, as the wealthy sought out collectables with “tangible, long-term” value, the study said.

Cracks Found on American Airlines 767s

Cracks found on American Airlines 767s

Cracks found in plane cause concern

American Airlines has found cracks in large pylons that hold engines onto the wings of two of its 767-300 aircraft, according to the airline and the planes’ manufacturer.

Concerned the problem may exist on other airline fleets, Boeing says it plans to advise airlines to inspect the parts more frequently than the current recommendation of every 1,500 takeoff and landing cycles.

“This is considered a safety issue. You’re talking about the strut that connects an engine to the wing,” said Boeing spokesperson Peter Conte.

American Airlines spokesman Tim Wagner said the problem was first discovered on one of its 767-300s about two weeks ago during a maintenance check targeting other parts of the aircraft.

The airline then found cracking on one more 767-300 after inspecting a total of 56 aircrafts — 767-300 and 767-200s — a process American Airlines completed Monday night.

“We found these issues when it’s best to find them, which is early on,” said Wagner. The airline has sent the first damaged pylon to a metallurgy lab to try to determine why it cracked.

“Until that metallurgy testing is completed, no one knows what the cause is,” said Wagner. The damaged planes were among American’s older aircraft, Wagner added.

American flies Boeing 767-300s on international routes as well as long-haul domestic routes. The 767-200s fly primarily transcontinental routes.

Airlines have previously found similar cracks at the holes where the pylon attaches to the wing, which led Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration five years ago to recommend checks every 1,500 cycles.

At that time when the FAA issued an airworthiness directive, it said, “We are issuing this (directive) to prevent fatigue cracking in the primary strut structure and reduced structural integrity of the strut, which could result in separation of the strut and engine.”

The Arizona Wild fire is not settling down as its burning out the region.

Hundreds of firefighters have been battling the blazes, the larger of which has burned close to 9,000 acres.

A man has been arrested for started up the smaller fire thanks to which the hell is witnessed in the region. This  was the small fire.

A second fire broke out on  Sunday , the  cause of the larger fire was unknown  but officials said it had been spread by strong winds up to 50mph (80km/h).

Low humidity and high temperatures have also contributed to the spread of the blaze, which broke out on Sunday.

“The fire is torching and crowning, with fire burning at the top of the tree canopies,” Flagstaff city spokeswoman Stephanie Smith told the Arizona Republic newspaper.
