Let's Kill Internet, not the change America wanted to see.

We are sure many of you are aware of the unrest in Egypt. You must also be aware that internet access is restricted countrywide by the government. Well, US might get its own switch to shutdown internet.

As of today, according to Computerworld, “Egypt is now off the grid.”  They write, “Four days after the Egyptian government ordered Internet service providers to disconnect from the Internet, the country’s last working Internet company has abruptly vanished from cyberspace.”

This is idea for the ‘Obama Kill Switch’, its a piece of legislation drafted by Senators Joe Lieberman and Susan Collins, that would offer President Obama a “kill switch,” effectively allowing him to shut down the Internet during a national emergency.

This move by the Obama Administration seems to mimic Chinese internet laws.

“Right now China, the government, can disconnect parts of its Internet in case of war and we need to have that here too,” Lieberman told CNN’s Candy Crowley last year.

Brandon Milhorn, counsel for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, says, ”We’re not trying to mandate any requirements for the entire Internet, the entire Internet backbone… (just the) crucial components that form our nation’s critical infrastructure.”

What do you guys think of the new ‘Obama Kill Switch’ ? Another attempt by the government to show that they are in power and not the people ? Ironically, its the complete opposite of what democracy means. A word so overused and boasted by America.

WTF! Couldnt believe my eyes! Alberto Del Rio has won the WWE Royal Rumble 2011, that gives him a straight championship match at wrestlemania 27.

Alberto Del Rio will be given the opportunity to select the champion of his choice. He could either face WWE champion from Raw or he could face WWE World  Champion from Smack Down.

The Royal Rumble 2011 involved the historic battle between 40 superstars. In previous Royal Rumble matches only 30 superstars were allowed to compete. But this 2011, the rules were altered and the fans were given the treat of good competition.

However, load of fans are disappointed on not seeing Triple H on the match or the dead man “Undertaker”. Well, as previously reported, they are working behind the screens for the WWE management.

Well, thats what the Mayor is hinting at. New York City might have to lay off 15,000 teachers as the state has a $10 billion deficit and wants to cuts the city’s education budget by $1 billion, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Friday.

New York City has around 75,0000 teachers. Bloomberg seems to be the first to start the lay off process by laying off around 6,000 to heal the city deal with the deficit for the next fiscal year. In December, the budget director predicted the city’s budget gap could rise to $4.4 billion, depending on state cuts.

New York is not alone in this struggle. As the Federal Stimulus Program finishing, may cities, states are struggling with more loss then ever before. The New York City is losing $800 million. This is the reason why Bloomberg has already started the process of laying off around 6,000 of its employees.

“The scuttlebutt is — I don’t know if it’s true or not — is that the education budget will be cut statewide and New York City’s share of that would be a $1 billion cut,” Bloomberg, an independent, told WOR radio.

The teacher layoffs could be higher, depending on what New York state Governor Andrew Cuomo announces when he unveils his budget plan on Tuesday. Cuts are expected to play a major role because the Democrat has vowed not to increase taxes.

A Cuomo spokesman was not available to comment on reductions in education aid or other cutbacks, including the possibility the state will lay off 10,000 to 15,000 workers, shutter some prisons, and slash Medicaid, the state-federal health plan for the poor, by $2.1 billion.

TMZ is reporting that Lindsay Lohan is worried about Charlie Sheen. Lindsay Lohan believes Charlie Sheen is in the midst of a “life or death situation” and has told friends she’s “thrilled” that he’s checked himself into a rehab center.

TMZ’s sources are telling that Lindsay Lohan is “worried” about the because his most recent bender shows “obvious signs of addiction”.

But after Charlie Sheen checked into a rehab, Lindsay Lohan is now confident that he can get his life back. That is if he commits himself to sobriety.

TMZ was also reported that Lindsay Lohan, “understands the problem of having the wrong people around and wants Charlie to understand that he needs to surround himself with positive, sober people.”

Julie Schenecker, wife of an US Army official Parker Schenecker, has killed her teenage son and daughter for unknown reasons.

The daughter Calyx Schenecker was aged 16 and son Beau Schenecker was aged 13 year old when the incident happened.

Its disturbing to know when you are not safe even at your mother’s end. For centuries since creation, man has always believed in his mother for protection next to God. When such incidents occur, it questions one’s faith whether to believe in their own blood or not.

How the Incident happened?

According to Huffington post, An arrest affidavit said Julie Schenecker shot her son twice in the head in the family car “for talking back” as she drove him to soccer practice. The report said Schenecker then drove to their upscale home and shot her daughter in the face inside the home.

It is reported that the crime scene was so horrible and mentally disturbing that the police present on-spot had to undergo counseling themselves.

Investigators believe the teens “never saw it coming,” said police spokeswoman Laura McElroy. Both were killed with a .38-caliber pistol. The arrest affidavit said the weapon was purchased five days earlier.

Neighbor’s Reaction

Neighbor Charanun Soodjinda said the Scheneckers “fit right in” when they arrived. The couple’s two children often played in the cul-de-sac with other neighborhood kids, and Julie Schenecker seemed to be at home a lot.

“They seemed like a nice family,” said Soodjinda, 38. “I never thought this would happen. How could you do that to your children?”

Che, this is annoying in my view, one bad decision by the mother has shattered the  dreams of the father, destroyed the life of the children and the livelihood of the family is over.

If people really couldn’t control anger and/or disappointed with their life style, why couldn’t they just consult a doctor on this regard. If Julie Schenecker had done so, today she might have been with her family smiling and playing with kids!!!

TAMPA, Fla. — The woman who authorities say killed her teenage daughter and son because she was fed up with them talking back and being mouthy will not appear in court Saturday because she’s being treated at a hospital for an unknown condition.

Authorities say Julie Powers Schenecker was taken to Tampa General Hospital shortly after midnight Saturday to be treated for a medical condition that existed before she was taken to jail. Hillsborough Sheriff’s deputies – who oversee jail inmates – said they could not reveal Schenecker’s medical condition, citing health care privacy laws.

An arrest affidavit said Schenecker shot her son twice in the head in the family car “for talking back” as she drove him to soccer practice. The report said Schenecker then drove to their upscale home and shot her daughter in the face inside the home.

Schenecker’s mother called police Friday morning, and told them she was concerned after her daughter had sent an e-mail saying she was depressed. Officers found Schenecker drenched in blood on her back porch – and once they saw the teens, the scene was so troubling that a stress team was called to counsel the responding officers, a police spokeswoman said.

Calyx, the girl, was 16 and a cross country running star at her high school. The 13-year-old son, Beau, was in eighth grade.

Investigators believe the teens “never saw it coming,” said police spokeswoman Laura McElroy. Both were killed with a .38-caliber pistol. The arrest affidavit said the weapon was purchased five days earlier.

Schenecker’s husband, Parker Schenecker, is a career Army officer attached to U.S. Central Command in Tampa. He was working in the Middle East when the shootings happened.

In 2008, the family moved to Tampa and bought a $448,000 home in a quiet, upscale suburban neighborhood. As the sun set Friday evening, residents walked by crime scene tape that sealed off the cul-de-sac that the Schenecker family lived on.

Neighbor Charanun Soodjinda said the Scheneckers “fit right in” when they arrived. The couple’s two children often played in the cul-de-sac with other neighborhood kids, and Julie Schenecker seemed to be at home a lot.

“They seemed like a nice family,” said Soodjinda, 38. “I never thought this would happen. How could you do that to your children?”

Australian pacer Nathan Bracken quits International Cricket. He announced his retirement at Sydney this Saturday.

Bracken who is aged 33, was known for his consistency in knocking out the opponents wickets. His reason to retire all of a sudden shocks the cricketing world, but Bracken  cited knee injuries for his decision to call it a quit.

Bracken said he had investigated ways to continue playing, but received medical advice that he should retire.

“I really have enjoyed my cricket both internationally and domestically, but unfortunately knee injuries have taken their toll,” Bracken said.

“I have had a strong rehabilitation from my last operation and have also looked at altering my bowling action to reduce any further damage in my knee and which would have enabled me to continue playing, but it hasn’t responded.

“My doctor has advised that I may require further surgery to stabilise my knee and to enable me to have good use of the knee in the future, but to continue playing first-class cricket is now not an option that I have.”

Looks like Demi Lovato is out of rehab. She is heading back home with her family after checking out of rehab.

Lovato has “completed her prescribed treatment and an outpatient program near the treatment facility… and getting back to her regular routine,” a source close to Lovato tells PEOPLE.

Demi Lovato checked in rehab in November to receive treatment for “emotional and physical issues,” which some sources have identified as cutting and body image issues. Demi was also accused of physical assault  by backup dancer Alex Welch. They have already settled that isssue.

After the incident, Lovato “felt awful about her behavior and realized she needed to take personal responsibility for it,” said an insider close to the family. “Because of this, and because of the battles Demi has fought throughout her life, both she and her family realized she needed to take steps to get help immediately.”

It was only after all this that Demi Lovato decided to check herself in for treatment.

Earlier this month, the Disney star sent a personal message to her fans. “I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time,” Lovato wrote on her Facebook page. “Thank you for standing beside me through it all.”
