Well, the rumors were true. Not only is Amazon entering the “music locker” space, they’re doing it before both Google and Apple — as their “Cloud Drive” and “Cloud Player” have just gone live on their site tonight.

Cloud Drive is the name Amazon is giving to its media storage space on their servers. They give you 5 GB of storage for free and allow you to access the media from any computer. Cloud Player is the name of yes, the actual player. And it comes in two flavors: a player for the web, and one for Android devices. You’ll note an absence of an iOS player…

A bit more:

  • Any album bought through Amazon MP3 is stored for free in your Cloud Drive — a very nice perk.
  • If you buy one album from Amazon MP3, they’ll upgrade your Cloud Drive storage to 20 GB for free for a year — another nice perk.
  • Normally, 20 GB of Drive storage will cost $20 for a year. 50 GB is $50. 100 GB is $100. And so on. All the way up to 1 TB for $1,000.
  • The Cloud Drive storage isn’t just for music — Amazon notes that 1 TB will hold 70 hours of HD video.
  • Other files can be uploaded — this includes music, movies, photos, and even documents.
  • The MP3 uploader accepts MP3 or AAC files, but they must be DRM-free (.wma, .wav, .ogg and others are not supported)

Low levels of radiation found in US milk

Posted by Tommy On March - 30 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

The radiation leak from the damaged Nuclear Power Plants in Japan is really having a global effect now. Very low levels of nuclear radiation have been detected in a sample milk from Washington state.

The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) have confirmed this. But they assured the consumers not to worry as the radiation was very low for concern.

The FDA said such findings were to be expected in the coming days because of the nuclear crisis in Japan, and that the levels were expected to drop relatively quickly.

Japan’s Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power complex began leaking radiation after it was damaged by a devastating earthquake and tsunami earlier this month.

Results from a March 25 milk sample taken from Spokane, Wash., showed levels of radioactive Iodine-131 that were still 5,000 times below levels of concern set by the FDA, including levels set for infants and children.

“Radiation is all around us in our daily lives, and these findings are a miniscule amount compared to what people experience every day,” said Patricia Hansen, senior scientist.at the FDA. “A person would be exposed to low levels of radiation on a round-trip cross-country flight, watching television, and even from construction materials.”

The United States had already halted imports of dairy products and produce from the affected area of Japan. Other foods imported from Japan, including seafood, were still being sold to the public but screened first for radiation.

The Japanese food makes up just 4% of all US food imports. The FDA has also assured that this will not affect the U.S food supply.

Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 2, the most expected movie in the history of world cinemas has its first official poster released.

The tag line  in the poster  says ” It all ends 7/15″.

Harry potter is the only movie in the history to have so much fan following all over the world. The series has been followed up with so much fan craziness all over the globe that the characters and crew became the part of an individual life. I reckon the tagline speaks it all.

Here’s the poster you have been waiting for.

Donald Trump

Latest controversy to hit American President Barack Obama is about his nationalism and his rights as an American. Donald Trump, CEO of the trump organization, is the one to start up the controversy over Birth date certificate by asking a  simple question “Where is your birthday certificate Mr. Obama” .

We must first try to understand American sentiments. Its an American belief and moral that people who lead them must be from them, that is, an American by birth.

According to Donald Trump,  Barack Obama is not an American by birth. To prove it, he is pulling over a crowd via television, social networking to question Obama’s authority.

After proving his birth as an American by producing his own birth certificate, Donald Trump goes on to say , “Now, this guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn’t. And I didn’t think this was such a big deal, but I will tell you, it’s turning out to be a very big deal because people now are calling me from all over saying, please don’t give up on this issue.”

You can view Donald Trump’s birth certificate by clicking here

I believe its unfortunate to come up with such an issue on a mere birth country rights. If Barack Obama does not clear the air on this regard, i am afraid his birth day controversy will be bragged by the general media which will eventually lead to his negative publicity.

Are you an American. If so, what is your stand on the President? Share your thoughts with us via comments.

Ovarian cancer is cancer that starts in the ovaries. The ovaries are the female reproductive organs that produce eggs.

Causes, incidence, and risk factors

Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cancer among women, and it causes more deaths than any other type of female reproductive cancer.

The cause is unknown.

The risk for developing ovarian cancer appears to be affected by several factors. The more children a woman has and the earlier in life she gives birth, the lower her risk for ovarian cancer. Certain genes defects (BRCA1 and BRCA2) are responsible for a small number of ovarian cancer cases. Women with a personal history of breast cancer or a family history of breast or ovarian cancer have an increased risk for ovarian cancer.

Women who take estrogen replacement only (not with progesterone) for 5 years or more seem to have a higher risk of ovarian cancer. Birth control pills, however, decrease the risk of ovarian cancer.

Studies suggest that fertility drugs do not increase the risk for ovarian cancer.

Older women are at highest risk for developing ovarian cancer. Most deaths from ovarian cancer occur in women age 55 and older.

Symptoms

Ovarian cancer symptoms are often vague. Women and their doctors often blame the symptoms on other, more common conditions. By the time the cancer is diagnosed, the tumor has often spread beyond the ovaries.

You should see your doctor if you have the following symptoms on a daily basis for more than a few weeks:

  • Bloating
  • Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
  • Pelvic or abdominal pain

Other symptoms are also seen with ovarian cancer. However, these symptoms are also common in women who do not have cancer:

  • Abnormal menstrual cycles
  • Digestive symptoms:
    • Constipation
    • Increased gas
    • Indigestion
    • Lack of appetite
    • Nausea and vomiting
  • Sense of pelvic heaviness
  • Swollen abdomen or belly
  • Unexplained back pain that worsens over time
  • Vaginal bleeding
  • Vague lower abdominal discomfort
  • Weight gain or loss

Other symptoms that can occur with this disease:

  • Excessive hair growth
  • Increased urinary frequency or urgency
