IPhone 5 to debut in September?

Posted by Riz On April - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

iPhone 5 rumors are surging online indicating a possible earlier release of the product with a faster processor and a similar look to the iPhone 4.

The new Apple rumors contradict previous assertions the so-called iPhone 5 wouldn’t start production until September for a launch during the holidays or early 2012. Instead, the next iteration of Apple’s iPhone would go into production in the summer around June or July to get ready for the big launch in the fall, according to three anonymous sources who spoke to Reuters.

It’s not clear what kind of a faster processor the iPhone 5 would have, but most observers expect Apple to use the dual-core A5 chip that debuted in the iPad 2.

Little else is known about the next iPhone, as most speculation has been about when the new smartphone would launch and not what new features the device would offer.

Since the iPhone first launched in 2007, Apple has introduced a new version every year in June during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. But most speculation suggests a 2011 iPhone launch would happen later than usual due, at least in part, to Apple’s launch of a CDMA version of the iPhone 4 on Verizon in early 2011.

Apple at WWDC 2011 plans to offer a preview of the next iterations of iOS and Mac OS X (Lion). Current rumors suggest a new iOS, dubbed iOS 5, would include cloud-based features such as online storage, free Mobile Me access for e-mail, calendar and contacts syncing, and possibly new location-based social features. Apple’s iOS 5 may also have an improved graphics engine.

There is also some debate about whether the iPhone 5 would have a Near Field Communication (NFC) chip. NFC technology would allow you to turn your phone into a virtual wallet that lets you pay at shops, restaurants and subway stations with just a wave of your phone in front of an NFC reader. Google announced the feature for Android devices in late 2010 and Microsoft is said to be prepping Windows Phone 7 with NFC functionality.

The September Debate

Apple typically uses September to launch new iPods and other music products, but the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch have made Apple’s other multimedia devices increasingly irrelevant. There’s only so much interest you can muster every year over a revamped iPod Nano or Shuffle and a new version of iTunes. Also, if Apple releases a new version of iOS in the summer and then waits for the fall for a new iPhone, it gives third-party developers more time to get their apps ready for the new device.

Whatever the reason for Apple’s rumored launch changeup, without a new iPhone coming in June it will be interesting to see if the company has any other surprises cooking for this year’s WWDC.

Dead Alien found in Siberian Snow is Fake!!!

Posted by Riz On April - 20 - 20111 COMMENT

An you tube video has surfaced online showing the body of an alien found dead in Siberian Snow.

The slender, badly damaged corpse was found lying on a bed of snow with its head to one side and mouth slightly open, the Daily Mail reported.

“We couldn’t believe it when we saw it. And what was spooky is that there was no sign of the spaceship. Perhaps that was taken away and the body overlooked,” said Igor Molovic, one of the pair that uploaded the video.

General Users Response

We get mix response from general audience. Where some believe it is actually a carefully crafted model of an alien’s body, and not the real deal.

We still have Alien Lovers in the globe. Hear what they have to say,   “It’s so lame how people always get thrilled by having another excuse to shout ‘Fake! fake!’ every time something weird shows up. Unless proven otherwise, this is in fact plausible,” posted one user.

Lol! My own reason to disbelieve in Alien existence and this new Siberian dead Alien drama is simple. I reckon the people who uploaded the video want to advertise the region.

Firstly, It’s suspicious that the alien just happens to look almost exactly like the popular depictions of “little green (or gray) men.” These are the typical big-headed, small-limbed aliens that appear on T-shirts, movies, books, and elsewhere.

The alien dummy’s skin is translucent, which is a nice creepy effect seen in many Hollywood films, but could have easily been made using clear gelatin and animal parts from a butcher shop.

Watch the Youtube video of the Dead Alien. I am sure if  the general user can think. They will find it funny.

Earth Day 2011

Posted by Riz On April - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

This April the 22nd, we celebrate Earth Day 2011.

What is Earth Day celebrated for ?

Earth Day is a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s natural environment.

Earth Day was founded by United States Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in first held on April 22, 1970. As a result of strong leadership, Earth Day is celebrated in more than 175 countries every year.

The main goal of Earth Day is to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement, Earth Day Network does this through advocacy, education, public policy, and consumer campaigns each year.

This year, Earth Day Network has chosen A Billion Acts of Green as the theme for Earth Day 2011. At over 40 million actions to date, it has become the largest environmental campaign in the world with the goal is to register one billion actions before the global Earth Summit in Rio in 2012.

I leave you with a facebook application for the cause of Earth day. You can support for your planet by joining the Facebook’s Billionactofdream

If you visit the facebook page, it asks an user of what will you do given a particular scenario. More importantly, the application makes a user pledge on how they are going to protect the planet.

Although i feel the application is pretty lame, it still has   the X factor to attract an User.

Yahoo to shut down Yahoo Buzz!!!

Posted by Riz On April - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

Yahoo to shut down Yahoo Buzz from  tomorrow i.e., April 21,2011.

Yahoo Buzz, the famous web portal that is used by website publishers to post their content to the world and attract millions of Yahoo users via Yahoo buzz, is about to be axed and killed as Yahoo! other service Mybloglog.

A blog post from Yahoo said that the website will be inaccessible from 21 April. It wrote, “As of this date, you will be unable to access the Yahoo! Buzz site. This was a hard decision. However this will help us focus on our core strengths and new innovations. check the official announcement.”

Not only Buzz, an anonymous user who leaked the Buzz axing information at Twitter, also claimed that Yahoo will shut down other services like Delicious.

Wicked! The axing of Buzz is the continuation of Yahoo’s mission of cutting down its services.

The readers should know that Yahoo started the service cut down with Mybloglog. Again, an important factor to note here is that Mybloglog solely depends on Bloggers and web publishers. Small web owners, as well as bloggers, use mybloglog to gain traffic to their sites.

In my view, i think Yahoo is fed up of  giving the attraction to web owners and gaining no advertising values. Cutting down of Buzz as well as Mybloglog by Yahoo in my view is the perfect example of Yahoo’s frustration with other websites

Are you an Yahoo buzz user? Whats your reaction on Yahoo’s most unexpected decision? Share with us via comments.

Easter is here and i don’t know how to make an Easter recipe. Honestly, i am poor at cooking. Lol!!!

Anyway, i have found out an interesting recipe thanks to Martha Stewart i have the directions on how to prepare an Easter Recipe for Asparagus Gruyere Tart. It seems simple though. Just vegis and cheese.

Well, i leave you with the recipe below. Happy Easter folks.

Asparagus Gruyere Tart
Serves up to 10-12 people depending on how big you cut the pieces
Recipe from Martha Stewart

INGREDIENTS

  • Flour, for work surface
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • 5 1/2 ounces (2 cups) Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 pounds medium or thick asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On a floured surface, roll the puff pastry into a 16-by-10-inch rectangle. Trim uneven edges. Place pastry on a baking sheet. With a sharp knife, lightly score pastry dough 1 inch in from the edges to mark a rectangle. Using a fork, pierce dough inside the markings at 1/2-inch intervals. Bake until golden, about 15 minutes.

Remove pastry shell from oven, and sprinkle with Gruyere. Trim the bottoms of the asparagus spears to fit crosswise inside the tart shell; arrange in a single layer over Gruyere, alternating ends and tips. Brush with oil, and season with salt and pepper. Bake until spears are tender, 20 to 25 minutes.

If you are making the night before cook for 10 minutes less. Let cool.  Cover overnight and put it in the oven for 10 minutes or until hot and crispy the day of the event.

Taco Bell Lawsuit dropped

Posted by Riz On April - 19 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

The Montgomery, Ala.-based law firm that filed a class-action lawsuit filed against Taco Bell has withdrawn the suit.

The suit had accused the chain — a division of Yum! Brands Inc. (NYSE: YUM) — of falsely calling its taco filling beef.

In a statement from Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles PC, the firm said it had resolved the dispute with Taco Bell, adding that the resolution did not involve money.

Taco Bell launched a nationwide advertising campaign, disclosing that the seasoned beef used in its products are a combination of 88 percent beef and 12 percent foot items such as seasonings, sugar and oats to contribute to flavor and texture.

“From the inception of this case, we stated that if Taco Bell would make certain changes regarding disclosure and marketing of its ‘seasoned beef’ product, the case could be dismissed,” attorney Dee Miles said in the law firm statement. “We engaged in discussions with the company representatives over the last couple of months about the lawsuit and the company’s responsive action to the suit. We accepted Taco Bell’s invitation to confer with company representatives and share information and ideas about the issues in the case. As a result of the lawsuit, changes in marketing and product disclosure were made by the company, allowing us to dismiss the case.”

Taco Bell has more than 10 Wichita locations.
