Pyramids of Giza: New Secret Wall Paintings excite Archeologist
The discovery of Secret Chambers leading from Large Kings and Queens, and the secret markings in the walls of the pyramids that was left undiscovered for over 4500 years has ignited the Archeologist and general viewers in high excitement.
Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is often known as the place of wonder or secrets. No matter how far the archeologist penetrate into it, the pyramids still hold many secrets for them.
The latest discovery just proves that. Although the Archeologist has earlier penetrated into the pyramids, they were unable to distinguish the writings in the wall because of not-so-fit technology.
But now thanks to a small robotic camera named as Djedi , the markings of the wall was discovered. The markings sure look different and exciting as per reports.
Its not that, we humans never penetrated into the Pyramids or lacked the skills. We sure penetrated, but this time we had a deep look into the walls because of the advanced Micro Chip Camera that Djedi carried that enabled it to move side to side instead of focusing straight.
CNN reports Peter Der Manuelian, Philip J. King Professor of Egyptology at Harvard University as saying, similar lines have been found elsewhere in Giza. “Sometimes they identify the work gang (who built the room), sometimes they give a date and sometimes they give guidelines to mark cuttings or directional symbols about the beginning or end of a block,” he said.
“The big question is the purpose of these tunnels,” he added. “There are architectural explanations, symbolic explanations, religious explanations — even ones relating to the alignment of the stars — but the final word on them is yet to be written. The challenge is that no human can fit inside these channels so the only way to do this exploration is with robots.”
17 Pyramids discovered under sand
In addition to the Secret wall painting, U.S. archaeologists have used Satellite imaging to discover 17 pyramids buried beneath silt and sand in Egypt.
The research, supported by a BBC documentary unit, also revealed more than 1,000 tombs and 3,000 other buildings dating to the time of the Pharaohs.
