The White House today released President Barack Obama’s birth certificate under the orders of the President himself. Obama also gave a briefing to the press announcing the release of his birth certificate and a Presidential scolding for the press for concentrating on “silly” things rather of issues that concern the nation’s future.

Looks like the President really lost his patience this time. He said the only reason he came down to this level to release his birth certificate was because the media were concentrating more on this “silliness” even at the critical time of a possible government shutdown. While the president and the congress were working out on a budget to decrease the deficit and at the same time work towards development. The whole media didn’t give it the attention it deserved. He said he wanted people to discuss about it and bring out their ideas but all the media wanted to talk about was his birth certificate.

Obama began his five-minute statement with the complaint that he wouldn’t be able to get the networks to break into their regularly scheduled programming for a speech on policy proposals.

“I know that there is going to be a segment of people for which no matter what we put out, this issue will not be put to rest,” Obama said. “But I am speaking for the vast majority of the American people as well as for the press. We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We have better stuff to do. I have got better stuff to do. We have got big problems to solve.”

“We are not going to be able to do it if we are distracted, we are not going to be able to do it if we spend time vilifying each other … if we just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts, we are not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by side shows and carnival barkers,” the president declared earlier.

And here is his birth certificate:

I totally agree with Obama. Americans need to concentrate on things that really matter.

Donald Trump

Latest controversy to hit American President Barack Obama is about his nationalism and his rights as an American. Donald Trump, CEO of the trump organization, is the one to start up the controversy over Birth date certificate by asking a  simple question “Where is your birthday certificate Mr. Obama” .

We must first try to understand American sentiments. Its an American belief and moral that people who lead them must be from them, that is, an American by birth.

According to Donald Trump,  Barack Obama is not an American by birth. To prove it, he is pulling over a crowd via television, social networking to question Obama’s authority.

After proving his birth as an American by producing his own birth certificate, Donald Trump goes on to say , “Now, this guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn’t. And I didn’t think this was such a big deal, but I will tell you, it’s turning out to be a very big deal because people now are calling me from all over saying, please don’t give up on this issue.”

I believe its unfortunate to come up with such an issue on a mere birth country rights. If Barack Obama does not clear the air on this regard, i am afraid his birth day controversy will be bragged by the general media which will eventually lead to his negative publicity.

The 100th anniversary of the International Women Day, is to be celebrated worldwide on March 8,2011.

The International Women Day(IWD)  was first observed in  March 8,1911 by a Socialist  party of America  in United States.

The movement of Women liberation was started during the time when women were treated very badly by the society.  Even in US, there were a serious debate whether women can be permitted to vote in the elections. Women were finally allowed to vote after the 19th Amendment law passed in 1920′s.

Such were the situation of women in our past history. And now everything has been changed, women are being respected in the society as well as in every aspect of life.

The day is marked and celebrated across the globe with 80 countries actively celebrating it. In Russia, woman’s day has been declared  a non-working day. In USA, the day is a remembrance of strong movement towards empowering woman and their rights.

With respect to the day, the United States President Barack Obama proclaimed March 2011 to be “Woman’s History Month”, calling Americans to mark IWD by reflecting on “the extraordinary accomplishments of women” in shaping the country’s history.

I believe, the movement that started long back in 1911 has finally succeeded to bring out the woman power.

Today, although, we hear woman discrimination in the corner of the news papers, we have moved forward towards future. Woman today have more power in world decisions . For instance, we have Woman in high commanding position in the senate, we find woman as a global leader, we find woman a leading example in the workplace. Everywhere we can find women to be in-charge.

Whats my role in International Woman Day?

Are you a son/brother/husband ? Are you still thinking of what is your role for the International Woman day?

Well, you have the best role that can only make a woman happy.

Treat your mother/sister with care and respect. Give them a nice present and tell them how much you respect them.  I already gave my mom and sister a nice caring gift.

With regards to your wife, you tell her how much you love her, take her to an outing, give her a present and show her how much you like her.

This  may seem simple but an woman expects nothing  other than the above said.

I would wish you not to end your care for your beloved woman and to continue your unbroken care towards your mom/wife/sister your entire life.

US president Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. On January 20, 2009, Obama became the 44th president of the United States—and the first African-American to hold this office.

When Obama took office, he inherited a global economic recession; two on-going foreign wars; and the lowest international favorability rating for the United States ever. He campaigned on an ambitious agenda of financial reform, alternative energy, and reinventing education and health care—all while bringing down the national debt. Because these issues were intertwined with the economic well-being of the nation, he believed all would have to be undertaken simultaneously. During his inauguration speech, Obama summarized the situation by saying, “Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America: They will be met.”

Feeling snubbed, slighted even, when he visited five years ago, Chinese President Hu Jintao is getting a do-over — plus the White House state dinner he sought back then but was denied.

Wednesday’s opulent, black-tie affair with President Barack Obama — the grandest of White House soirees — will mark the first such event in China’s honor in 13 years and could help smooth tensions between the world’s two largest economies.

Some big questions remain: Who will cook? Will first lady Michelle Obama’s gown have an Oriental flair? Can the White House avoid mistakes like the ones that marred the reception when a protocol-conscious Hu arrived for an April 2006 summit?

For starters, Hu was unhappy that President George W. Bush opted for lunch over a state dinner.

President Barack Obama meets with China's President Hu Jintao on the sidelines of the G-20

Bush held few state dinners as president, preferring workmanlike visits with foreign leaders over eating meals in a tuxedo. He also was sensitive to concerns in the U.S. about human rights in China and was reluctant to be seen as going all out for Hu with a state dinner.

But then Hu’s pomp-filled welcome ceremony on the South Lawn, which included a military honor guard and a 21-gun salute, was spoiled when a woman protesting China’s treatment of the banned Falun Gong religious movement began shouting during his remarks.

Bush apologized after he and Hu went into the Oval Office.

Compounding the insult, a White House announcer called China the “Republic of China.” That’s the formal name for Taiwan, the democratic island that China claims as its territory.

Wednesday’s affair will return the hospitality that Obama was shown at a state dinner in Beijing on his November 2009 visit.

A personal relationship between the two leaders is important for cooperation on several pressing issues in the time left on both of their terms in office, Asia watchers say. The visit is probably the last to Washington as president for Hu, a hydroelectric engineer who has ruled since 2002. He is expected to relinquish his leadership of the Communist Party next year and the presidency the year after.

The only way you can move policy is at the very top, and it requires a personal connection,” said Victor Cha, director of Asian affairs on the National Security Council in the Bush White House. “Maybe this visit will be an opportunity to create some of that.

Hu is getting plenty of face time with Obama, including a second dinner. The more private meal at the White House on Tuesday after Hu lands in Washington also will include Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, national security adviser Tom Donilon and aides to Hu.

Wednesday’s schedule calls for the arrival ceremony, a one-on-one meeting between Obama and Hu, an expanded meeting that includes aides, a news conference and, finally, dinner.

It will be Obama’s third state dinner, following those for India in 2008 and Mexico last year.

For each dinner, Mrs. Obama — who is responsible for planning the events with the White House social secretary — recruited a guest chef to help prepare the meal. But there was no word on who might cook for Hu.

In fact, in keeping with its usual practice, the White House hasn’t released any details about the menu, the guest list, the decor, where dinner will be served or what Mrs. Obama will wear and doesn’t plan to until a few hours before Wednesday’s event is scheduled to begin.

On Monday, workers began preparing the South Lawn for the arrival ceremony, and U.S. and Chinese flags flapped in the breeze on Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House to the Capitol.

President Bill Clinton and first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton welcomed President Jiang Zemin and his wife, Madame Wang Yeping, in October 1997, serving chilled lobster in tarragon sauce, pepper-crusted Oregon beef and whipped Yukon Gold potatoes to more than 230 guests seated elbow-to-elbow in the East Room. They ate on tableware from the Eisenhower and FDR administrations laid out on gold damask tablecloths.

Dinner tickets were highly sought and the lucky holders pointed to one of Clinton’s chief aims: access to China’s consumer market of more than 1 billion people. The guest list included CEOs from Xerox, PepsiCo, Walt Disney Co. and General Motors Corp.

The National Symphony Orchestra provided after-dinner entertainment that included the American classics “An American in Paris” by George Gershwin and “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa.

White House officials suggested at the time that Jiang might be tempted to get up on stage. At a dinner the year before in the Philippines, he surprised his host by singing “Love Me Tender” and “Swanee River.”

Could Hu succumb to similar temptation? He was known as an avid ballroom dancer in college.

The Clintons had anticipated a level of interest in the dinner that would exceed the ability of the White House to comfortably accommodate its guests. Planners offered to hold it outside in a tent, but Jiang’s representatives held out for indoors.

Jiang had been miffed years earlier when Clinton refused him an official visit and insisted on meeting at New York’s Lincoln Center instead.

This time, China is getting . everything that it wants in terms of the symbols of a visit,” said Bonnie Glaser, a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies who focuses on China.

Reince Priebus is the new RNC Chairman

Posted by Shane On January - 14 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

Reports are merging online that Reince Priebus has been elected as the new RNC Chairman.

According to multiple media reports, the Republican National Committee now has a new chairman with Priebus eventually getting the nod after Steele bowed out of the running. It took seven rounds of voting for Priebus, the party’s leader in Wisconsin, to get the nod, the Associated Press said. Steele dropped out after four rounds, the AP said.

Priebus is 38 years old, and his term at the top is two years, so he’ll be at the helm for the Republicans when they look to oust President Barack Obama from the White House in 2012.

Steele had been widely criticized for mucking up the party’s finances. The Wall Street Journal estimates the organization has built up more than $20 million in debt, and said Priebus had pledged to raise $400 million to go to battle against Obama and the Democrats in 2012.

The House is honoring victims of Saturday’s shootings in Tuscon, including one of its own.

Republican Speaker John Boehner opened the session of remembrances and tributes to the 19 people shot, six fatally.

Later Wednesday, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi of California and other lawmakers are flying with President Barack Obama to Arizona to console the victims and their families.

New information, meanwhile, has surfaced about a confrontation between alleged shooter Jared Laughner and his father on the morning of his rampage.

Mysterious black bag in hand, Loughner ran into the desert, his angry father in futile pursuit of his truck.

Hours after Randy Loughner’s confrontation with his 22-year-old son Saturday morning, six people were shot dead and more than a dozen others wounded – and Jared Loughner was in custody.

The sheriff’s deputies who swarmed the Loughners’ house removed what they describe as evidence Jared Loughner was targeting Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who doctors said Tuesday was breathing on her own for the first time after taking a bullet to the forehead. Among the handwritten notes was one with the words “Die, bitch,” which authorities told The Associated Press they believe was a reference to Giffords.

Investigators with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department previously said they found handwritten notes in Loughner’s safe reading “I planned ahead,” “My assassination” and “Giffords.” Capt. Chris Nanos said all the writings were either in an envelope or on a form letter Giffords’ office sent him in 2007 after he signed in at one of her “Congress on Your Corner” events – the same kind of gathering where the massacre occurred.

On the morning of the shooting, a mumbling Jared Loughner fled after his father asked him why he was removing a black bag from the trunk of a family car, said Nanos and Rick Kastigar, chief of the department’s investigations bureau. Investigators are still searching for the bag.
