Snowball throwing a Crime?

Snowball throwing a Crime?

A British court on Wednesday convicted a man of assault and placed him under a two-week curfew for throwing a snowball at a female police officer.

Dean Smith was shopping with his family before Christmas in the town of Swadlincote, central England, when he chucked the snowball at the officer.

The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to common assault at the court in Derby, central England. He was handed a 14-day curfew and ordered to pay 85 pounds (134 dollars, 102 euros) costs.

Before his conviction, Smith said he thought it had been a joke when police turned up at his door several days after he threw the snowball.

“I couldn’t understand it. When they took me to the police station I thought it was a joke at first,” said Smith, cited in The Daily Telegraph newspaper.

“How much has all this cost the taxpayer?”

Prosecutors however claimed that Smith had been acting aggressively because of a grudge and pointed out he had previously been convicted for obstructing a police officer.

Under the terms of his curfew, Smith reportedly has to wear an electronic tag and stay at home between 7:00 pm (1900 GMT) and 7:00 am (0700 GMT) for the next two weeks.

What stores are open this Christmas 2010?

Posted by Shane On December - 25 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Is walmart open this Christmas eve? What stores are open this Christmas? Is this your question. Then you have a reply here.

It is to be noted that majority of stores are closed this Christmas day

It’s one of the few days every year in which nearly all businesses are closed across the country. Of course, this year Christmas falls on a Saturday, only solidifying the day off for many.

Walmart, Target, Kmart, Old Navy and Toys R Us were open on Christmas Eve, but will all be closed Christmas Day this year.

However, if you need to make a quick run to the store, Walgreens locations across the country will be open, and many CVS locations will also be open.

Other stores could be open locally too; it’s best to check your local listings or call individual stores near you to be sure.

Thats right! I just got a mail from Google thanking its customers that it was able to donate $20 Million this holiday season.

Below is the email :

Posted by Shane On November - 3 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Lil Wayne is all set to be released on November 5th,2010.  His new album”"Tha Carter IV ” has also been reported  to be released on the same day as well.

On this moment, Lil Wayne has a message to convey to his fans. He writes a letter that states

“As I greet you all in my last days on this island, I must reflect. I think back to when I first arrived and I had no clue of what I’d be experiencing. I was never scared, worried, nor bothered by the situation. For that, I thank God, my family, and you, my amazing fans. I prayed for you all every night, as I’m aware that I was in your prayers as well. The very first day that I received mail, it was about 300 pieces or more! I smiled like a child of Christmas.

But when I began to read them, my heart smiled. I laughed with some of you, reasoned with some of you, and even cried with some of you. I responded to as many of you that time would allow. I plan to keep reading and responding after my release. I thank you all for being so very supportive, as I never imagined how much impact my words and life can have.

With this knowledge, I vow to continue to be me! For you have assured time that I don’t have to change for no one but God. I will be the same Martian I was when I left, just better. You fans are more than amazing, and I will for to the end of the world for your love. This isn’t the last of weezythanxyou.com I will continue to thank you when I’m home….” (source: hiphopwired)

The Expendables 2010 Review

Posted by Tommy On September - 6 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

I got to watch this movie last night. I kinda got mis-leaded by the ratings in IMDB. I usually trust IMDB ratings, but this time it made me think twice about how it can works.

The Expendables

The Expendables

Back to the movie The Expendables. The movie stars Sylvester Stallone(as Barney Ross), Jason Statham (Lee Christmas), Jet Li (Ying Yang), Dolph Lundgren(Gunner Jensen), Erick Roberts, Steve Austion and some more actors. It is directed by Sylvester Stallone himself.

The list of actors must tell you all about the movie. Its a fully action packed movie with a lot of nail biting, seat grabbing scenes. The movie has no plot no story whatsoever. If you want to spend a hour and half watching machine-gun wielding pumped-up alpha male killing ‘bad-guys’ and blowing up everything around them(I am NOT exaggerating here) This movie is definitely for you.

I enjoyed it because of the scenes that were played very well in a thrilling manner.

Now back to IMDB rating, I usually expect anything above a rating of 7 in IMDB to be fully packed with a good story and plot thats a complete package.

Now The Expendables has a rating of 7.2 (too many Fanboys ??) I did enjoy the movie but when I rate it I have to look at other factors too. This movie really missed a lot other then being a pure action movie to its core. Some may get bored of it. I was kinda bored during the end. How long can a man enjoy continuous explosions and gun firing ?

I think i’ll give it a 6/10.

This movie is definitely worth a watch but of course you must know what you are going to expect.

World No. 1 and 2 tennis players Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer sat down in Cincinnati last week to record a promo spot. Neither are professional actors, and it appears there was no actual script. Predictably, there was some difficulty getting the ad finished.

Che, i enjoyed watching the video. The best part is when Roger asks Nadal what he will give him for Christmas, Nadal replies with an exhibition match. Boy, its nice to see the greatest Tennis player to be friends. Love it!

Man Survives 8-Story Fall In Manhattan

Posted by Tommy On December - 26 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

For construction worker Jose Paulino, four cracked ribs after an eight-story fall were — well, a lucky break, CBS station WCBS-TV reports.

The 29-year-old native of the Dominican Republic celebrated Christmas in a hospital bed after the accident that sent him plummeting off a midtown Manhattan building — from a 16th floor plank onto scaffolding below.

“I took a step, and I was falling, falling, falling,” he said later. “It felt like it was happening to somebody else.”

He tried to grab onto something, “but I just kept falling and falling, and I thought I might die.”

Paulino was part of a crew dismantling scaffolding at the 20-story building in the garment district on Thursday afternoon, after some repair work.

Suddenly, a plank snapped under his feet.

“It was horrible seeing him fall through the air so fast, and when he landed, I thought he was dead,” said his brother, Juan Paulino, who was also part of the work crew.

Police responded to the scene, and Jose Paulino was rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he was in stable condition and recuperating on Saturday. He also hurt his neck, shoulder and leg.

“I was hurting and in pain, but I knew I was still alive, and right then I knew I would see my wife and kids again,” said the Bronx resident, calling his lucky break “the best Christmas present ever.”

A lineup of relatives and friends showed up at the hospital on Christmas Day. Some brought the worker’s favorite comfort food: sancocho, a stew of meat, potatoes and plantain.

The family — including his wife, 2-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son — planned to celebrate Christmas when he is released from the hospital, probably next week. Source : wbztv.com
