The White House today released President Barack Obama’s birth certificate under the orders of the President himself. Obama also gave a briefing to the press announcing the release of his birth certificate and a Presidential scolding for the press for concentrating on “silly” things rather of issues that concern the nation’s future.

Looks like the President really lost his patience this time. He said the only reason he came down to this level to release his birth certificate was because the media were concentrating more on this “silliness” even at the critical time of a possible government shutdown. While the president and the congress were working out on a budget to decrease the deficit and at the same time work towards development. The whole media didn’t give it the attention it deserved. He said he wanted people to discuss about it and bring out their ideas but all the media wanted to talk about was his birth certificate.

Obama began his five-minute statement with the complaint that he wouldn’t be able to get the networks to break into their regularly scheduled programming for a speech on policy proposals.

“I know that there is going to be a segment of people for which no matter what we put out, this issue will not be put to rest,” Obama said. “But I am speaking for the vast majority of the American people as well as for the press. We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We have better stuff to do. I have got better stuff to do. We have got big problems to solve.”

“We are not going to be able to do it if we are distracted, we are not going to be able to do it if we spend time vilifying each other … if we just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts, we are not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by side shows and carnival barkers,” the president declared earlier.

I totally agree with Obama. Americans need to concentrate on things that really matter.

Facebook has crossed the limits, according to a facebook user David Fagin.

David Fagin, a facebook user, tried to invite a friend but was blocked by facebook who labeled him a ‘spammer’ for sending out friend requests.

Spammer tag from the world’s giant web industry was unwelcome by David Fagin who himself is a writer for Aol, calling the tag a humiliation for him.

This morning, he announced he is suing Facebook for $1 (documents not available yet).

Techcrunch reports, Fagin is clearly irked because he’s not able to directly contact Facebook’s support team:

“Some might say ‘What’s the big deal? It’s just a stupid social networking site,’” says Fagin.

“But, when you’re talking about arguably the biggest online presence the world has ever seen, one that’s currently worth more than Microsoft, and there’s no way to reach a live human being, that might be something for the FTC and/or congress to at least think about.”

I fail to see how Facebook is worth more than Microsoft, which currently boasts a market cap of $213 billion and change, but let’s not get facts in the way of a frivolous lawsuit.

“It’s not just the support issue, either,” Fagin goes on to say. “Facebook is actively contradicting their own policies. On one hand, they tell you not to ‘friend’ anyone you don’t already know. On the other, the site constantly bombards you with names of people that Facebook themselves suggests you should ‘friend’, as you already have multiple friends in common. This also runs in direct contradiction with the spammer label. If everyone on the site is only supposed to be friends with people they know, then everyone is a spammer.

According to the press release, Fagin’s AOL News story caught the opportunistic eye of NYC-based litigation attorney Gillian Overland. Having never run a company that supports some 700 million active users, Overland comments:

“I read David’s article and completely agreed. The fact that you’re dealing with a company as large and as powerful as Facebook, and their only means of public intercourse is a run-of-the-mill FAQ page? This needs to be fixed.”

Some say $1 may be as high as $1 billion.

Atleast some one is standing up against the giant facebook. But do you think with the company AOL behind him will qualify him a win over court. Do share with us your comments.

India’s Political Drama!

Posted by Shane On August - 26 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

There is a pretty good political drama revolving around Indian Politics. First, the commonwealth games mess and now they deny the farmers their own land due to the River Yamuna expansion project.

The agitated  farmers of Uttar Pradesh led a huge march in Delhi demanding their rights . They demand a better compensation for the land which is being taken from them.

On the other end, Rahul Gandhi, the son of Ex prime minister Rajiv Gandhi  has taken out to the farmers quoting that he is their soldier and he will raise their voice for them.

What i dont understand is? The Indian Government is led by Congress and Sonia Gandhi, the mother of Rahul Gandhi has full command over the high authority decision.

In one way the government take the living out of farmers and in other hand they play nice like they support them.

What a democracy!
