Surinder singh Koli who was convicted for rape and murdering of children from age group 3 to 12 has finally been sentenced to death by an Indian Court today.

The case was a long run mystery where children used to disappear from nithari where local police left with no clue on the whereabouts of the missing children.

After a suspicious site of  Bones near Koli house, the mystery was cracked and for almost a year he was tried in the court and sentenced.

As far as i am concerned, the justice is very late. but still justice is done

The first study to look at death rates across the world for young people aged 10 to 24 years was published on Friday.

The research, conducted by an international group of experts in adolescent health and backed by the World Health Organisation (WHO), included the following key findings:

* The top ten causes of death in all 10-24 year olds, male and female combined, globally were

1) Road traffic accidents (10 percent);

2) Suicide (6.3 percent);

3) Violence (6 percent);

4) Lower respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia (5.9 percent);

5) Tuberculosis (5.5 percent);

6) AIDS (5.5 percent);

7) Drowning (4.1 percent);

Fire-related deaths (2.6 percent);

9) Meningitis (2 percent);

10) War (1.8 percent)

* For males aged 10-24 worldwide, the top five causes of death were

1) Road traffic accidents (13.9 percent);

2) Violence (9.2 percent);

3) Suicide (6.4 percent);

4) Drowning (5.3 percent);

5) Tuberculosis (5.2 percent)

* For females, aged 10-24 worldwide, the top five causes of death were

1) Lower respiratory tract infections (6.7 percent);

2) Suicide (6.2 percent);

3) AIDS (6.1 percent);

4) Tuberculosis (5.8 percent);

5) Road traffic accidents (5 percent) **

** (Note- Maternal deaths from all causes represented 15 percent of deaths, however they were divided into a number of different categories meaning that no individual maternal death category featured in the top five)

* In higher-income countries, traffic accidents caused 32 percent of deaths in males aged 10-24 years. Violence accounted for 10 percent of male mortality and suicide 15 percent.

* Relative risks for death in Africa were higher than in any other region, and nearly seven times higher than in high-income countries. (305 vs 45 deaths per 100,000)

* Males died at higher rates than females in all age groups and regions apart from Africa and southeast Asia, where the increased number of female deaths was largely from maternal mortality, with deaths from suicide, fire, AIDS, and tuberculosis also contributing.

India in Swine Flu Fear

A Series of Swine Flu death in India has made the country in grave Panic.The Sub Continent now has 4 confirmed deaths due to Swine Flu.

The first death due to Swine Flu was reported in Pune.  Rida Sheik, aged 14, a girl studying school was the first victim. After the media aired the report, panic struked India as forest fire leading all the parents with their children storm the local hospitals. Government of India cleared the air urging the nation not to panic. But the words from Health Ministry was not able to console the public.

The second death due to swine flu was reported in Mumbai following Pune death that made the panic in real tragedy. Public went real mad after hearing the series of death taking the matter very serious.

The third death again was reported in Pune last night, August 8. A teacher of 43 years was the third Indian victim to Swine Flu.

The death is the mere case. The testing that the public in Pune undertook with panic was also a blessing in disguise. The testing done on the people help the medical officials confirm of more swine flu positive people.

The sad part here is, many school students are the victim of Swine Flu.

This morning August 9, the fourth death and the first from Gujarat was reported. Pravin Patel, an NRI, aged 40 is reported to be death. The news is currently hot topic in media. Pravin Patel was tested positive for Swine Flu just a day ago.

Following the situation, Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad is trying to clear the panic but always quoting “We have sent the medicines to eight major cities of India .NO NEED TO PANIC”. But he is unaware that the situation is changed from mere panic to a grave tension and real unease in public.

Madonna who is on her world tour performing concerts have her next stop at  France to perform her biggest concert ever. The concert was to happen at Velodrome stadium in Marseille which could support nearly 60000 people.  The technicians  were the star depended members whom Madonna looked upon in order to set up the stage.

Unfortunately, the roof of the stage collapsed killing 2 technicians working on the development of the stage. The dead technicians have been recognized as Charles Criscenzo, 53 year old from France and Charles Prow,23 old from Headingly in Leeds. Investigations are on at full force by french policeman to find out the reasons for the roof fall.

Madonna, now at Italy, was very much shocked and Devastated by hearing the news of the deaths. She has canceled her concerts that is to be held this Sunday. The roof  “started shaking and collapsing” gradually, said Marseille city councillor Maurice Di Nocera. “Since it did not collapse right away that allowed several people to get out,” he said.

This is what Madonna said in her statement as released by the concert organizers,

“I am devastated to have just received this tragic news,”"My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families, along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news.”

Madonna paid tribute to the technicians at her concert in Italy on Thursday.

“I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and pay tribute to two people who lost their lives today,” she told fans at the Fruili Stadium in Udine.

“It’s a great tragedy to me,” she continued, choking back tears. “I feel so devastated to be in any way associated with anyone’s suffering.

“Let’s all just take a moment to say a prayer for Charles Criscenzo and Charlie Prow. Our hearts go out to their family and loved ones.”

I previously decided not to post anything about Michael Jackson after news about Michael Jackson’s Ghost came out. The reason I took this decision was because its about time we let him rest in peace. Its been more than 15 days since his death and still the media is cashing out from the news of his death. This is the reason I didn’t post anything about MJ’s Memorial service. I wanted to give it all a rest. But yes, something kept buzzing me in my head regarding why Michael Jackson’s body was not shown in his memorial service and I am sure almost all of you have the same question. Now our questions are partailly answered regarding how MJ’s body looked.

But it looks like the family members of Michael Jackson viewed the open casket the night before the MJ’s Memorial Service. The close family members viewed MJ’s body when they were gathered at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills.

David Fossett, one of Michael Jackson’s cousin who is currently 50(same age as MJ), grew up with Michael and still lives in Jackson’s hometown of Gary, said,”He looked like himself. He looked like he just was laying there sleeping, he looked peaceful.”

Fossett also said,”Relatives gathered around the casket, talked to each other and cried.” But Michael Jackson’s parents Katherine Jackson and Joe Jackson were both not present there.

Jett Travolta, Son of Kelly Preston died last January with a sudden Seizure. He was  aged 16. The lose of their beloved son made kelly Preston and John Travolta suffer in private grief. They were not seen talking about the dead towards the media and supposedly seemed to be let down.

Finally, Shiver who is the host of California Governor’s conference for women has been successful on convincing Preston on speaking at the conference. The Show is titled as “Grief & Resilience“. It is for those who have lost their loved ones. And it gives an opportunity for the affected persons to share their grief with others.”If she can empower one other woman who feels like they can’t get out of bed, or get through the day, whatever the loss, it’ll be worthwhile sharing her story,” says Shriver.

Shiver says it was a tough job to get Preston convinced to speak. Preston finally agreed to speak on the topic. Along with her, the panel will have other two woman who have also lost their sons.

Preston gave the invite a lot of thought before making a commitment to speak. “She has been thinking about this for a couple of months,” Shriver says of Preston. “I asked her to speak and she knew about the conference and decided if she was only going to speak once, it would be here. She wants the conversation to be about more than just her.”

Movie Review:

If  your a horror loving person, this is the type of movie you cannot miss. This movie is entirely different from other type of Horror and Thriller movies.

The Movie starts with  High School students and Teachers who are about to Journey to Paris concerning their School trip. One of the Student Alex Browning in the plane has a mysterious sight of the plane getting exploded in the air. He freaks out in fear and finds that it didn’t happen. He urges everyone and shouts mentally about what he saw, the plane officials thinking him of peace destroyer kicks him and few of his friends out of the plane.

Wonder what, the thing they all called insane did happen with the Plane 180 exploding in the Air after few seconds take off. Alex later learns that what he saw as a dream is actually a premonition. Premonition is the ability of knowing things before it actually happen. Days passes by with every member of school thinking Alex as some sort of  forbidden thing and police keeping a watch in Alex thinking of him having a hand in the flight accident.

It all goes well until one day  a survivor of Flight 180 dies mysterious. This incident disturbs every person in the  place. Within a day, another Survivor dies leaving police and others dumb. All the incidents points towards Alex as he murdered the student which leaves Alex with no choice but to involve in the investigation himself. Alex investigates the cause and finds out with a stunned look that  the survivors of Flight 180 being to die in the order if they had died in the plane crash.

Whats horror is, the pain in their face when they find out that Death itself is after them and there is no escape. The movie  did give everyone the fear and power of Death and everyone has to taste it in their turn.What I really liked about it was that Death never showed itself and that it turned simple everyday items into murder weapons.
