Angry Birds? No its not about the birds rather its a new game that is dazzling the web.

About Angry Birds

Angry Birds is a puzzle video game developed by Finland-based Rovio Mobile. The game was first released for Apple’s iOS in December 2009. Since that time, over 12 million copies of the game have been purchased from Apple’s App Store, which has prompted the company to design versions for other touchscreen-based smartphones, such as those using the Android operating system, among others.

Here’s a Youtube video on the Angry Birds. Its very funny.

Google has returned back to purchase Like.com after leaving its predecessor Riya in a mess way back in 2005.

Google, had interest in Riya site for its excellent method of image facial recognition and tagging for consumers. But, google gave a U turn to the company and left it in a mess.

Apparently the company Riya was shut down and it gave birth to Like.com, which generated almost $50 million within a year. This made Google to return back to Like.com and is reportedly in the final stage of capturing it for $100 million.

Techcrunch adds, “What we can’t quite figure out is why Google is buying Like.com. It doesn’t fit neatly into mobile or their new social strategy like so many of their recent acquisitions. Like.com does have real visual search technology though. Perhaps Google, which has experimented with visual search, likes what it sees.”

Lol, this seems funny on why Google wants it. But i bet Google is not a fool. No way! Google has dominated the entire web industry. If  Google has motive to buy a site not just like.com ,any website, they sure will have a deep reason behind it.

One of my friends says,”If Google feels some one may come close to its applications, they either buy it or close it down”

FBI has problems with Wikipedia

Posted by Tommy On August - 3 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has sent a letter to Wikipedia stating that “unauthorised reproduction of the FBI Seal was prohibited by US law”.

FBI Seal

Am I going to jail ?

Is the FBI making fun of itself ?? I find this just funny. The FBI knows that Wikipedia is just for educational purposes and that they have almost all government seals from all parts of the world in their site. Also the FBI seal is found all over the internet not just Wikipedia.

So, lets say that for some odd reason its against the US law to use the FBI seal for any purpose at all other then their own use. What was FBI doing all these days ?? Wikipedia is such a popular site and only NOW they notice it? And these guys are supposed to be a credible investigation agency. Come on!

The FBI also wrote “Whoever possesses any insignia…or any colourable imitation thereof..shall be fined…or imprisoned… or both,”

Wikipedia hit back saying that FBI lawyers just “misquoted the law”.

The issue centred on the FBI’s Wikipedia entry which, in addition to information on the US bureau, also features an image of the “Seal of the Federal Bureau of Investigation”.

The image can be viewed in four different resolutions, including a high-resolution 2000px version.

The FBI said that this was “particularly problematic, because it facilitates both deliberate and unwitting violations of restrictions by Wikipedia users”.

It is not yet know why the FBI has singled out Wikipedia, when the FBI seal is published on numerous other websites.

In response, the lawyer for Wikipedia – Mike Godwin – wrote back to the bureau saying that there was a big difference between the words “problematic” and “unlawful”.

“The enactment of [these laws] was intended to protect the public against the use of a recognisable assertion of authority with intent to deceive.

“The seal is in no way evidence of any ‘intent to deceive’, nor is it an ‘assertion of authority’, recognisable or otherwise,” he wrote.

Mr Godwin claimed that the FBI letter sent to Wikipedia omitted key words, which changed the interpretation of the law.

“We are compelled as a matter of law and principle to deny your demand for removal of the FBI Seal from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons,” said Mr Godwin adding that the firm was “prepared to argue our view in court.”

Harry potter funny moments from part 1 to 4   is posted in the video below . Its kinda cool.

Taylor Swift performing live in 2007

Taylor Swift the biggest selling artist of 2008 in USA. She has a combined sales of over 4 Million Albums. Tylor Swift says she has always loved “sparkly things,” now who doesn’t ? Well but her love for them seems to always get her into trouble on Independence Day when she was a child. (Did she steal ‘sparkly things’?, lol hope not)

Well guess what, she made this confession today on Independence Day(July 4th). Thats really nice of her to share a few of her childhood memories with her fans on the exact date they have happened.

So what exactly did she do ? She wrote in Myspace Celebrity Blog, “I was always that little kid who would run around picking up used sparklers off the ground and I would inevitably pick up the SCALDING HOT BURNING end that was still smoldering, Then cue the screaming bloody murder in front of everyone and running into the house to ice your hand.”

Though it sound painful, it must have been really funny ;) . Taylor Swift who is 19 years old now also reacalls watching the adults “shaking their heads because they saw you do the same thing last year.”

She also said,”Gotta love humiliating childhood memories, Wish me luck this year. I think I’m gonna wear gloves.
