Father of the Pakistan Nuclear program, Abdul Qadeer Khan, has claimed the country’s nuclear weapons program saved it from a Libya or Iraq-style invasion by Western forces.

TheAustralian reports  Abdul Qadeer Khan statements,

In a column for US magazine Newsweek, the nuclear scientist pointed out that “no nuclear-capable country has been subjected to aggression or occupied, or had its borders redrawn”

“Had Iraq and Libya been nuclear powers, they wouldn’t have been destroyed in the way we have seen recently,” he wrote.

For atleast once in a million, i reckon Mr. Khan has made a valid point. How many countries have we seen the west especially America and its NATO allies nuked on.   Afghan? Iraq? Libya? The Gulf war of 80′s? Vietnam war?  How many countries listed above  had nuclear weapons?   None!

But, in case of Pakistan, US is bowing down to them, all because of presence of Nuclear power. Oh, thats why US is now dragging India to support them and fight for them.

If  there is a country that should be stopped for presence and unwisely use of weapons of Mass destruction, i believe that should be US. And it should be stopped right away or she will put its own country (  America ) in debt.

Currently, US senate has pressed the alarm button on the raising debts. US is currently in a very high debt of over $14 trillion.  Boy! That needs checking.

The Libyan conflict could have been avoided. Whats their to prove through War. The US has missed the valid strategy. Bombing and destroying a country and its children is not an Gentleman act!

John Walker, the famous pop singer of the 60′s known for the songs Make It Easy On Yourself and The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine anymore has passed away. He was 67.

His spokeswoman said Mr Walker died on Saturday at his Los Angeles home after a six-month battle with liver cancer

The official John Walker website said it was with “deepest sadness” that it had to report John Walker passed away in his LA home on 7 May 2011.

“He was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, friend, and artiste,” it said.

His fellow band member Gary Walker in a statement on his website, said it was a “very sad day for John’s family, myself and all of our many fans”.

“John was the founder member of the group and lead singer in the early days. He was also a fantastic guitarist which a lot of people didn’t realise.

“He was a compassionate song-writer and a gentleman with lots of style.

“The three of us had the most incredible adventure together, all the time not realising that we were part of pop history in the making. His music will live on, and therefore so will John.”

The statement concluded with “T-birds and Bentleys”.

Ireland defeated England in the group state match of the ICC World Cup 2011 held today in chinnaswamy stadium, Bangalore, India.

Ireland has scripted history by successfully chasing down 328 runs thereby becoming the first nation to make such run chase.

Boy, i dont know where to start. I am thrilled to the core.

Kevin O’Brien and Alex Cusack are the deserving candidate to be praised. Both the cricketers have scripted their names in the history of Cricket.

Kevin O’Brien became the first man to score a fastest hundred in the world cup history. He scored 100 for just 50 balls. Holy cow! Thats just brilliant.

Exciting isnt it!

The match started with England elected to bat. The England batsman didn’t disappoint as they whack the ball all over the ground. Trott, Pietersen and Ian Bell scored a marvelous half centuries taking the England  score to 327 for 50 overs.

In reply, the Irish started the innings very badly as they score very slowly and wickets going down regularly in the other end. At one stage, Ireland were 111 for 5 in  24.2 overs.

When everything seemed lost, there came a hope for Ireland with the coming of Kevin O’Brien and Alex Cusack. Man, they batted superbly. Hats off gentleman.

Kevin O’Brien scored fastest century in the world cup history taking out Matthew Hayden of Australia. He scored  100 runs of 50 balls. Alex on the other end played a sensible 47 runs  before getting run out.

The match then became very interesting as the new batsman John Mooney played a sensible innings along with Kevin O’Brien.

When all seemed set for Ireland, Kevin got run out when the Irish score was 317 for 7. In the end though, the day belonged to Ireland as they scripted history today.

Ireland successfully defeated England to open the points in the point table.  Kevin O’Brien of  Ireland was awarded man of the match

Megamind (2010) is an animated, comedy, super-hero movie released back in December 2010. Megamind is one of those movies where an adult and kid enjoy watching together. Its kind of taking us back to the Superman stuff.

Let me begin the review with the storyline:

After super-villain Megamind (Ferrell) kills his good-guy nemesis, Metro Man (Pitt), he becomes bored since there is no one left to fight. He creates a new foe, Titan (Hill), who, instead of using his powers for good, sets out to destroy the world, positioning Megamind to save the day for the first time in his life

Let me take a complete analysis of the movie.

The movie starts with  Megamind ( the villian guy) falling from the sky. The story begins with Megamind’s emotion and a flash back of his life that led him to the current drastic situation.

Megamind and Metroman birth

Megamind and Metroman( super hero) came to Earth from the same dying planet. Right from leaving their home planet, both the kids fight with each other. Let it be the spaceship or the kinder Garden school, they always fight.

Megamind describes Metroman as a good looking face that always gets good luck. He (megamind), however, is always unfortunate and end up in a wrong place.

Megamind grows behind the bars in Jail, whereas metro man gets good life with rich adopted parents.

The story now shifts with both the gentleman’s becoming young.

Megamind loves to fight with Metroman and is always on the search to find out ways to fight him. As the usual things continue (Megamind disrupting peace and Metroman saving the city) , Metroman becomes tired of saving-the-day  stuff  thereby faking his death in the hands of Megamind.

Megamind who has never won anything in his life becomes shock on knowing the very fact that he actually killed Metroman.

City Ends up with the Bad Guy

People of Metro city are now enslaved in the kingdom of  Megamind who himself blames of finishing Metroman.

As days passes by, Megamind misses Metroman more than the people, with always quoting “I have no one to Challenge”

Love develops between Megamind and Roxanne Ritchie

Meanwhile, Megamind falls in love with a local journalist Roxanne who could never forgive Megamind for what he has done to the city.

Megamind uses technology to change his self and impersonating others look to meet up with Roxanne. During a date with Megamind, Roxanne discovers the truth about Megamind. she leaves Megamind questioning how could you think i will be with an Evil person?  for which poor Megamind has no answers.

Megamind creates a Hero

Megamind creates a hero so that he could fight with someone and makes his life bad one once again. He accidently makes Hal Stewart  ( a guy who works with Roxanne and secretly loves Roxanne), a superhero naming him “The Titan”.

This was Megamind greatest mistake, as Hal Stewart turns out to be a villian and the destroyer.

Now, its all left with Megamind to save the day with no Metro man around.

Megamind Becomes a Hero

Megamind with the return of Roxanne on his side, faces Titan. The rest of the movie is very nail biting with comical stuff around.

In the end, the climax keeps the audience waiting whether Megamind saves the day or not which he actually does.

The movie is a great  entertainer and i personally rate the movie   9 out of 10.

The Movie is directed by Tom McGrath.

Brad Pitt has voiced for Metroman and Will Ferrell has voiced for Megamind.  Tina Fey has voiced for Roxanne whereas Jonah Hill has done it for Hal Stewart

Sachin Tendulkar has shocked the cricketing world by accepting the very fact  a cricketer hates to speak.

Sachin Tendulkar, the Legend in the cricketing world, has accepted the fact that he sledged Australia’s fast bowler Glen McGrath to keep the momentum in the cricket match and to give India a chance to win the match with the then-powerful Australian attack.

According to the book SACH by Gautam Bhattacharya as reported in Yahoo, Tendulkar says

“I have never sledged  merely for the sake of sledging. I did that only once as a part of team strategy. This was at the Kenya Champions Trophy. We were playing Australia.”

Tendulkar describes how he irked McGrath with a cheeky line.

“The match was played under overcast conditions. The wicket was also very damp. I had told Sourav before that I would do something to upset McGrath’s rhythm. So, in the very first over, I stepped out to him. The first thing I said to him was ‘Today I will hit you out of the ground.’ He got really angry and started spraying the ball around. This was exactly what we wanted. As on that surface, he may have been very dangerous.”

“We did win that match ultimately and I felt very happy. My sledging did work for the team.”

“My own experience of sledging came very early on my first tour to Australia. I remember having blocked a delivery and the ball landed near my foot. I tried picking it up when Allan Border shouted from gully, ‘Don’t touch the ball.’ So I stopped immediately.”

Gosh, this changes things isnt it. Sachin is known as a gentleman in the game but even the Cricketing gentleman has sledged.

Lol!  How can a game be competitive without sledging. The sledging done by Sachin created good competition between India and Australia. I guess it must have been a treat to watch.

Buffett , Bill Gates the top ranked billionaires of the world has   joined hands and have appealed to fellow Americans  to give half of their wealth to charity.

My first reaction  LOL!!!

According to Forbes Magazine,  Bill gates has USD 53 billion and Buffett total money comes around  USD 47 billion. Gentleman, why dont you start by giving half your share. I am very sure that using the money given by you  two alone can solve  75% of America financial crisis.

It seems that Bill Gates, his wife Melinda gates and Buffett  have  joined hands to commit their share to philanthropy.

“Now, Bill and Melinda Gates and I are asking hundreds of rich Americans to pledge at least 50 per cent of their wealth to charity,” Buffett has written in a letter titled ‘My Philanthropic Pledge’.

Well known for his wise investment decisions, the 79-year-old Buffett is the chairman of conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway that has invested in diverse companies.

“More than 99 per cent of my wealth will go to philanthropy during my lifetime or at death. Measured by dollars, this commitment is large. In a comparative sense, though, many individuals give more to others every day,” the billionaire investor said.

In 2006, Buffett had pledged to give all the stocks he owns in Berkshire Hathaway to philanthropic foundations.

Buffett said he has already distributed about 20 per cent of his Berkshire shares and would continue to “annually distribute about 4 per cent the shares I retain”.

“At the latest, the proceeds from all of my Berkshire shares will be expended for philanthropic purposes by 10 years after my estate is settled.

“Nothing will go to endowments; I want the money spent on current needs,” the letter noted.

This year, Gates and Buffett were ranked as the world’s second and third richest people, respectively, by the Forbes, which pegged Gates’ wealth at USD 53 billion and Buffett’s at USD 47 billion.

Buffett said the pledge to donate wealth would not affect this and his children’s lives. “They (children) have already received significant sums for their personal use and will receive more in the future….I will continue to live in a manner that gives me everything that I could possibly want in life,” he wrote in the letter.

Sachin Tendulkar has been named Master Blaster, Little Master, Legend by whole of cricket world. Right from ICC, Legends like  Sir Don Bradman,  rival players everyone a huge fan  of  Sachin .

But apart from these, Sachin has been called a kind hearted guy and named Gentleman.

Why do we call  Indian Cricketer and  legend Sachin Tendulkar a Gentleman.
