Samsung Puts SD Memory Card in SPACE!

Posted by Tommy On January - 25 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

Yes, they literally did it! That is really cool! Samsung pulled an insane stunt to prove how durable their memory cards are, they made 200 paper planes fitted them with Memory cards and took them to the edge of space and released them.

What makes all this even more cool is that these memory cards contain special messages from people all over the world. I wonder who is lucky enough to find one of those. It could land like anywhere in the world!

Their plan was pretty simple, well simple enough to hear. They launch a balloon filled with helium gas and carrying a load of paper planes, once it reaches 37,339 metres (that’s at the edge of space!). They release it!

They launched the balloon at Wolfsburg in Germany. The balloon took 2.6 hours to raise 37,339 meters and just and took only 40 minutes to fall back to earth. It landed in a forest just south east of Berlin, where their team had to use a very long pole to retrieve the payload from the top of a tree.

The hand-crafted paper planes with their precious cargo of Samsung SD memory cards were released at around 36,3500 metres and could land anywhere!

If anyone finds a plane and memory card, they can contact us at www.projectspaceplanes.com/ask and we will try to put them in touch with the person who uploaded their piece of data onto that memory card.

Here is a video of them announcing the Project Space Planes :

And here is the video of them doing it!

Another shocker. Germany defeated Argentina 4-0.

The match started with Germany scoring a thriller goal on the third minute of the match.  Half time was called with the score on board Germany 1-0 against Argentina.

On the 68th minute of the match, Germany scored another goal making their lead to 2-0. With Argentina having no answers for Germany attack, the boys of Germany standardized their lead with  2 more goals on 74th and 89th minute of the match.

Boys who scored for  Germany are  Klose(2), Muller and Friedrich.

from Argentina side there were no goal. Captain Massi had no answers this time around. His brilliance was spoken throughout the world but he failed to get his team to semi finals.

We could call this story as History repeats itself. Do remember, Germany was the same team that stopped Argentina in the quarter finals of the 2006 world cup.

Again they stopped the favourite Argentina this time around. Cheez, i felt bad to see the match. I totally Congratulate the brilliance of Germany, but i  had  my pick on Argentina. Felt disappointed to see them lose.

Diego Maradona dreams comes to an end :(

EnkeAnother Talented Player lost. This is a tragic end to such a  great sportsman. Germany’s No 1  Robert Enke aged 32 who  was  currently  playing  for Hannover 96 committed Suicide today by throwing himself in front of the train.

Some reckons that the end of her daughter two years before due to heart defect led  Robert to great depression which made him to commit suicide.

Well, whether its a suicide or murder , we will find out after the police investigation. But its a real sad to see him go. He is a real talented guy who played for Germany 7 times.

May he rest in peace

china-hong-kongThis August has brought about great news to all the People in the world who are looking with a grim hope of getting employed.

Yeah, its glad to say that Hong Kong economy is risen this month. The data recorded during April to June of this year 2009 shows that the nation has brought a rise of 3.3% growth in their economy.

This is really a good moment, cause only 2 days back did France and Germany officially announced that they are out of recession

Earlier HongKong revealed that their economy will down at 5.5% to 6.5% But now they have revised it to be 3.5% down. This is encouraging.

Economic growth is measured by gross domestic product (GDP).

“The GDP data was much better than we expected, partly because the exports were better and partly because of a pick-up in private consumption,” said Paul Tang, chief economist at Bank of East Asia.

A french man frustration during Recession

A french man frustration during Recession

The European countries France and Germany have declared that their economy has grown by 0.3%  taking into account from April to June, which makes them the first to exit recession.

Experts on the other hand said that they had expected this growth from the European nations and is not surprise that they exit the recession.

French Finance and Economy Minister Christine Lagarde  added, “The data is very surprising. After four negative quarters France is coming out of the red,”.

This is all thanks to the exports that Germany managed. Last june it is recorded that Germany exports where 7% higher meanwhile last year it was 3.8%.

I  reckon all the other countries should learn from these two nations and do all possible terms to kill the recession as soon as possible.
