Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

So, Valentine’s day is right around the corner. Which means Love is in the Air ? Or time for more broken hearts ?

Let me rant about Valentine’s day after I give you ideas for what gifts to give.

Flowers !!

Every girl likes flowers, so get some flowers. Though to guys they seems completely useless as the girl just smells it once and throw it off. For some odd reason they are supposed to be ‘romantic’, all I know is they are expensive and very hard to get on Valentine’s Day!

So, where was I ? Ya, Flowers! Get you girl flowers or she’ll just hate you.

Romantic Lingerie

Ya, these sells like hot cakes! So if you really want to surprise your girl get her some Lingerie while they are available. These are what girls as well as guys find romantic. So don’t be a jerk, be romantic!

Chocolates, Jewels etc

A really delicious chocolate or some customized pendent, a ring, necklace. All these really freak out your girl (freak-out in the good way). Try something like that. You know expensive stuff, girls love them. The more expensive they are the more they will love you! Its that simple!

Finally, valentine’s day are stupid and stressful! Girls except us to do something new and creative and top last year. So guys, be creative and don’t buy any gifts on Valentines day. Heck, don’t even wish her! She’ll love you for not being like other guys i.e., creative and unique.

Absolutely odd program, conducted by the group called College Bound sisters at the university of North Carolina. And guess what the program is all about, you will cheek out. The main goal of the program is to prevent  the girls from the Age group of 12 to 18 years not to get pregnant.

The motivation for the girl is 1 dollar per day for not getting pregnant. Now this has brought very much mixed feelings from the parents and others around the locality. The purpose of  the program is to remove the teen pregnancy rate to lower rate.

Man this is really odd way to stop one from having a child at young age . To be honest, its  pretty good thing actually done towards the teen awareness which has become a important social issue for about a decade. The program is for 90 minutes, in which they teach lessons on abstinence and the use of contraceptives and plus ofcourse 1 dollar per day.

“It makes me a bit uneasy,” says Bill Albert, chief program officer at the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.

“I do have mixed feelings. It’s hard to pay people to do something that we think they should be doing regardless. It would be like if you didn’t want young people to experiment with marijuana, you’d pay them not to do it,” he said.

Dr. Hazel Brown, co-director of the program, added “We teach decision-making, being responsible and avoiding pregnancy. The meetings are very interactive,”. The program will be held twice in a week with the group is separated depending on the age duration. One group will see the girls of the age 12 to 14 and the other will contain the age of 15 to 18.

To participate, girls must have never been pregnant, be enrolled in school, have a desire to attend college and have had a sister who gave birth before age 18.The program is a success says Dr.Brown.

Well all we can add here is, this is an great stuff done by any group towards the young generation. Cause awareness not works all time and doing something like giving a dollar like stuff will attract people. Hope this follows in other states and universities, parents suggest.

2005091800150201A tense situation among the girls of Kanpur University and its affiliated college is seen lately. This is due to the ban of  jeans  in the college campus . This is said to be a important dress code standard to be followed in the campus by the girls.

Now what prompted  the Kanpur University to take this decision?

Its  happens presently that  Eve teasing is the regular activity of College. Few of the girls are sensitive to it while the other let it go as fun. Now the problem  starts with sensitive girls who broke out emotionally and few go beyond par line to suicide. Sometimes Nastier incidents took place where the teasers go beyond limit and abuse the girls. Worst part of college is eve-teasing, having fun is ok with class mates but as said earlier few go beyond it. As incidents go beyond limits, number in Complaints increases which led the University Authority left with no choice but to ban the Jeans.

The girls feel it in different sense, they believe that their basic freedom is being taken away from them.

One of the girl Trisha says that “The dress code which has been implemented in the colleges is totally wrong. We are not wearing anything wrong. Moreover, we don’t belong to any primary school who need to be told what to wear and what not to. In addition to this, there is a ban on the mobile phones which I think is also totally wrong if we do not have mobiles with us how will be we able to inform our parents about our whereabouts?,” .

The District Magistrate of Kanpur Anil Kumar Sagarhas welcomed the decision saying, “The universities have implemented this decision. It is right that there should be a dress code in the schools and colleges and if the universities think that by implementing this step discipline in the colleges will improve, we welcome this decision,” said , .

Though this decision is welcomed by parents and higher officials, it has increased a rage of anger among few, especially teenage girls
