What is the reason behind London Riots?

Posted by Riz On August - 9 - 20115 COMMENTS

The London Riots that begin on August 6th, 2011 ,  has created a total unrest in the London city.

The protestors have so far burned down many shops and looted many electronic gadgets.

In these times, one may wonder what is the reason behind London Riots?

It all goes down with an killing incident of  Mark Duggan.

Source of the Riots

The local police stopped a minicab that was carrying Mark Duggan as a passenger at about 18:15 BST on 4 August 2011. Duggan was under the suspension of being a possible drug dealer.

On their encounter, it appeared as though a Police officer had been shot by Mark Duggan, which prompted police to shot him at the chest.  Later at 18:41 BST, he was pronounced dead at 18:41 BST.

The investigations was on about the bullet shot at the Police officer. The investigation however proved negative and implied that the bullet found inside the police radio was actually not of  Mr.Duggan.

IPCC Commissioner Rachel Cerfontyne said: “I know this is an incredibly difficult time for Mark Duggan’s family, who have made it abundantly clear that they in no way condone the violence that we have all seen on the streets of London and elsewhere over the past three nights. I am committed to ensuring they are provided with answers from the IPCC about the investigation into Mark’s death as soon as we have them, and I acknowledge their frustration that this can be a lengthy process.

“I know that much of this information has been reported in the media already, alongside much inaccurate speculation. Any concerns expressed by the wider public about a perceived lack of information from the IPCC should be considered in the context that I am only willing to share information once I have had it independently verified and once the people who are directly involved in this case – including Mr Duggan’s family and community leaders – have been fully informed.

“I also have a responsibility to balance the need to provide information, with the need to avoid adversely affecting other judicial and coronial processes. This means that it would not be appropriate for me to put all the information we receive into the public domain as soon as we receive it. I assure you that our findings will be made public as soon as we can legally and legitimately do so

“I will continue to oversee the IPCC investigation and IPCC family liaison managers continue to be on hand to support Mr Duggan’s family while our investigators get on with establishing the facts of this case.”

As reported by IPCC website, according to the initial investigation by Forensic Science Service (FSS),

• The bullet lodged in the MPS radio is a “jacketed round”. This is a police issue bullet and, whilst it is still subject to DNA analysis, it is consistent with having been fired from an MPS Heckler and Koch MP5.

Now, this makes the situation worse. The bullet that was shot in the police radio belongs to an another Police officer bullet, as initial reports given by FSS.

No matter what, they police should have shot Mark Dugann in the leg and not at the chest.

He is now dead for the crime which he never did.

The agony among the local and family members made them to go for a march on later August 6th, 2011 which started the riots that is killing London herself.

Whats your take on the whole story? Do you feel the protestors have done a right thing by taking up arms against police?

Amy Winehouse Found Dead!

Posted by Tommy On July - 23 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

The U.K pop star Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her house in London, , according to multiple British wire reports. Britain’s Sky News reported that paramedics were called to her home at just after 4 p.m., but the 27 year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Winehouse publicists in the U.S. and Great Britain have not yet responded to requests for comment. No reason has yet been cited as a cause of death.

Winehouse had recently canceled her summer European tour dates after a disastrous performance in the Serbian capital of Belgrade in which the singer was heavily booed after arriving late and then staggering through the performance. Such erratic behavior has largely been the norm for Winehouse since her 2006 effort “Back to Black” catapulted her to stardom.

Winehouse released her debut, “Frank,” in 2003, a collection of jazzy neo-soul tunes. Her 2006 album, “Back to Black,” saw Winehouse remade as a tough, no-nonsense R&B singer in a ’60s-inspired vintage mode. Working with rising producer Mark Ronson and New York’s acclaimed rhythm & blues crew the Dap Kings, “Back to Black” was heavy on noir imagery and recalled the early days of Motown, most notably in the hit singles “Rehab” and “You Know I’m No Good.”

The album and its singles were the recipients of numerous accolades at the 2008 Grammy Awards, including song and record of the year for “Rehab.” Winehouse was named best new artist at the ceremony. Just before the 2008 Grammy Awards, Winehouse was the subject of much speculation as she had entered a rehabilitation facility and was denied a U.S. visa. She performed on the live Grammy telecast via satellite from London.

A third album was long rumored but never materialized, and much of Winehouse’s post-”Back to Black” career was mired in sudden stops and starts and troubles with abuse and the law. She was due to be a headliner at the 2009 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival but was forced to cancel after being charged with assault for allegedly attacking a fan week before the festival.

Winehouse has recorded a song for Tony Bennett’s “Duets II,” which is scheduled for release in September.

The British police are on the lookout for a thief who seems to be inspired by the fairy tale character “Goldilocks”. He breaks into houses, eats the available food, takes a good nap before robbing electronics and other stuffs from the house.

Essex detectives said they were trying to trace Jesse Dobinson who is suspected of carrying out two burglaries at a house in Wickford, northeast of London, in February and March.

“On both occasions beds in the property were slept in and food eaten before items, including electrical goods, were stolen,” police said in a statement.

But this guy is not good as the fairy tale character because he is wanted in a assault and knifepoint robbery case.

Maybe he also dresses up like Goldilocks, maybe that is the reason he has been able to slip unsuspectingly. I mean who would give a second look at a grown-up man dressed up as Goldilocks ?

Maybe, this thief is actually trying to send a message to the community and we’re dumb enough not to get it, yet!

World’s Oldest Panda, named Ming Ming, aged 34, dies in China.

Che, this is sad.I love Panda’s . When i hear such news about them  i become sad.

The Panda, Ming Ming died last week at the Xiangjiang Wild Animal World in Guangdong Province, Chinese daily The Global Times reported.

The female panda had lived at Xiangjiang since 1998, but had also travelled to zoos in London and Ireland during her long life.

Vets found that her organs had deteriorated as a result of old age, leading to kidney failure. Pandas do not usually live past the age of 22 in captivity, or 15 in the wild.

Well, Panda’s 34 age is like Human living for 80 + years. The fact that the Panda fought hard to survive such long years is a motivation factor for all beings on their right to live and Survive.

Difference between Stack vs Heap memory

Posted by Alchamist On March - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

Stack
Stack memory stores variable types in address’ in memory, these variables in programming are called local variables and are often stored for short amounts of time while a function/method block uses them to compute a task.

Once a function/method has completed its cycle the reference to the variable in the stack is removed.
Heap
Heap memory stores all instances or attributes, constructors and methods of a class/object.

Comparison
A Heap reference is also stored in Stack memory until the life cycle of the object has completed. Inside the Heap reference all the contents of the object are stored whereas with a local variable only the variable contents are stored in the stack.

Example:

Stack
var blue
var red
ref 0×456783 (Heap reference)
var tom
ref 0×498702 (Heap reference)
var diane

Heap (0×456783)
name => Susan
age => 26
city => London
height => 5’7
Gender => female

Heap (0×498702)
name => Paul
age => 21
city => Glasgow
height => 6’0
Gender => male

Its time for Harry Potter. The movie is all set to be premiered today in London.

You can watch the action from the Red Carpet LIVE beginning at 12 pm ET/9 am PT.

Harry potter and the deathly Hallows is the most awaited film from the entire Harry potter franchise as it is considered to be most darkest from the other films and emotionally very sensitive. The film sees the split between Harry and Ron as Ron (thanks to the locket Horcrux) thinks Harry is after Hermione.

I think this will be the most exciting films and its a must watch movie.

The much anticipated Nokia N8 release date is announced. You can buy the new Nokia N8  mobiles on stores from October 1,2010.

The Nokia N8 will be available for free on a monthly £35 price plan and it will also available to buy for £429. Plans for the release of the new Nokia N9 are thought to be being announced in London next week at the Nokia World Summit and are to be Nokia’s phone to use the MeeGo operating system.

The advertisement says – “it’s not technology, it’s what you do with it” and this tag line seems to have a good impact on the viewers.
