Mauer, 28, the Twins catcher, proposed to his best friend Bisanz, a St. Paul nurse, in Sanibel, Florida.

“A place that is special to both of us,” Mauer said Sunday from Florida. “We couldn’t be happier, and we’re both really excited.

“I was hoping for a yes, and she said yes,” Mauer told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “I’m getting to marry my best friend.”

Good luck to the happy couple. May your life together be filled with joy and happiness.

Indian Man marries bride with fire burns

Posted by Riz On November - 27 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

There may be a million marriages happening all over the world, but the marriage that took place between a Muslim man named Yunus Shaikh and her bride Taslim Shaik is worth to be called an heavenly marriage.

The marriage between the couple has proved to every soul in the world that a man’s  commitment is more important than any other promises.

Taslim Shaikh, a young resident of Vatva, was engaged to Yunus Shaikh and was to be married on Saturday. However, in a quirk of fate, she received severe burn injuries four days ago while she was cooking and had to be moved to L G Hospital.

Yunus, who remained firm in the marriage, said, “Come what may, I had decided that the nikaah would be solemnised on the appointed date and I resisted any move to stop it”.

The parents and relatives approached the L G Hospital authorities with a request to let them arrange for a simple nikaah. The authorities were reluctant in the beginning, but later relented and arranged for a separate room for the event.

Taslim’s mother was the happiest of all present. “I am feeling very lucky to have such a noble person as my son-in-law. He did not turn his back on my daughter, which he could do very easily and justifiably,” she said.

Yunus said by marrying Taslim, he had only fulfilled his promise he made to her out of his love for her. “So what if she has become a victim of circumstances.”

After more than a decade of marriage, James Marsden‘s wife Lisa Linde has filed for divorce.

Citing irreconcilable differences in court documents filed one week ago, Linde is seeking spousal support and joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s two young children Jack and Mary.

“This was a mutual decision,” Marsden’s rep tells PEOPLE. “They are committed to raising their kids together and remain great friends.”

“It’s always been about being together and keeping the family together,” the X-Men and 27 Dresses star, 38, told PEOPLE in 2008 of his then-happy marriage.

“When I’m not working, I want to be home, and that’s all I want to do.

The engagement rings presented to  Kim Kardashian by Kris Humphries has given a new meaning to the word “marriage”

Normally, we find celebs just running around and praying to God just for time being.

But in the case of  the newly engaged Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, its not so and i reckon perhaps they might be the game changer for a celebrities way of living

Kris Humphries has added the verse of Bible in the ring before presenting to his bride. Isnt it a masterpiece. In my thoughts, perhaps this is a greatest gift a man can give to woman.

The verse engraved in the ring is as follows

“It’s engraved, with two things from the Bible,” Humphries told People. “There’s one verse [Proverbs 31: 10-31] about the perfect godly woman… The other, [1 John 3:18] is about love. It took me… a few days to pick them out and research the perfect ones.” While we don’t know exactly what’s on the rings, the Proverbs verse begins (in King James translation), “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil,” while the John reads, “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”

Additionally, between the two passages, the message “K [hearts] K” is engraved.

Besides the offer, Papa Johns is also in the process of designing a pizza for royal wedding with the photo of prince williams and Kate Middleton.

Papa John’s chief marketing officer Andrew Varga told reporters, “Royal Wedding fever is sweeping the world so we couldn’t resist having some fun and creating our very own pizza portrait of Kate and William to celebrate their forthcoming marriage. Like our original crust pizza, our royal portrait is made from 100 percent fresh dough and quality ingredients, so it tastes as good as it looks.”

Seems Interesting but who in the world will eat the pizza that has a face on it?

Reasons Not To Believe Zodiac Signs!

Posted by Riz On January - 16 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

For centuries, Men has moulded his decisions, his careers, his happiness all in the name of zodiac signs and its warnings.

Although, majority of educated people are still following zodiac signs, i still believe modern world is waking up from this superstitious belief .

Let me reason out why not to believe zodiac signs. Here we go!

The people who wrote the zodiac signs, dont know the real signs

Though the real date from which  the zodiac signs acceptance by the people is unknown, it is often dated back to 6th century BC.   Few well known people considered these signs as correct and wrote it. What they meant to be correct is now wrong which means for years and years people have been wrongly predicting the unknown.

That reminds me of what God said, Only I know the unknown. Man cannot know the unseen.

And that is the truth.

Zodiac Signs has spoiled many good decisions

Yep, people have wasted their beautiful career and their decisions based on what signs say. Some people even go out to seek their career when they find it is correct according to the signs. And now we know that signs were wrong. which means trusting some maniacs people have actually failed to cope up with their career decisions.

Zodiac signs has spoiled good marriages

I am glad to say the place where i live faces no problems in stars and marriages. But for those who are unaware of, few countries on this planet, considers stars and signs for marriage. If they find out the bride and groom stars doesnt match they call off the marriages without even bothering the real sentiments of the bride or groom.

So now since the signs have been proved wrong. How would our ancestors reply us on this discrimination.

Zodiac signs are the result of  disbelief in God

For people who are pious and god fearing, you can continue reading below. Those who does not believe God can skip it.

God said very clearly, believing in the stars and the zodiac signs is nothing but the act of linking God with other Gods.

On a matter of fact it is term as disbelief. If you think you follow God’s word and yet you follow the zodiac signs, then you should know that what you have done is an act of  polytheist.

People who say they can predict the future are doing nothing but speaking lies. The predictors will often ask you what date you are born and what is your stars.

Now, it has been proved that the stars which you follow is wrong and what was practiced for centuries also becomes false, how will you now explain years and years of  wrong words said by the future predictors?

Dont you think you have wasted your life by following some persons words rather than following God words?

If people stop believing zodiac signs and stars  atleast now, then i believe they can understand God.

Wake up at-least now!

Government to face first suit on surnames

Government to Face the first law suit on Surnames!

Government to Face the first law suit on Surnames!

After nearly fifty years of persevering with a life under her husband’s surname, 75-year-old Kyoko Tsukamoto is taking the Japanese government to court so that she can at least bear her own name when she dies.

“My husband and I still love each other, but this and the issue of Tsukamoto are different,” she said.

The former teacher uses her maiden name, but due to Japanese civil law requirements she had to take her husband’s name when she married to make the union legal.

But debate over the surname issue, long a sore point with some women, has heated up as more women stay in jobs after marriage and juggle two names — their maiden name at work and their registered name on legal documents.

“I thought that I would get used to my husband’s name, but I could not, and a sense of loss grew inside me,” Tsukamoto said.

“Now I am 75 and I was shocked to realize that I can’t do things anymore that I used to be able to do last year. That’s when I thought that I am Kyoko Tsukamoto and I want to die as Kyoko Tsukamoto.”

Tsukamoto is one of five people planning to file a lawsuit against the government and local authorities as early as February, saying the civil code that requires married couples to register under the same surname violates equal rights among married couples, as well as personal rights.

Men are allowed to take their spouses’ name, but it is rare.

The group will seek compensation for what it says is the legislature’s failure to enact change, the first such case to be debated in open court in Japan, the only country in the Group of Eight major industrialized nations with such a surname rule.

Hopes grew that the government would submit a bill to amend the civil code after the Democratic Party of Japan, which has advocated letting married couples keep separate names if they wish, took power in 2009. But opposition from a coalition ally caused the plan to stall.

“There were expectations that it could be enacted but unfortunately this did not take place. They do not want to wait any longer,” said Fujiko Sakakibara, lead lawyer for the group.

TRADITIONAL FAMILY

The rule is tied to Japan’s traditional concept of the family, which in the past ensured that property, businesses, and surnames were passed on to men within the family unit.

Some say it is outdated. In certain cases, couples repeat marriages and divorces between each other to avoid having to register their children as out of wedlock births, partly because the civil code limits inheritance rights for such children.

Tsukamoto, with her husband since 1960, is going through her second marriage with him after divorcing once in 1965 to get her maiden name back. They re-married when they had their third child but her husband has rejected requests for a second divorce.

Those against change say it’s a matter of family unity and are wary of the impact on children’s identities. They also warn of a possible increase in divorce.

Tsukamoto began studying women’s issues at the age of 63, after she was freed of duties to nurse her parents. She has since taken up an activist’s role.

“Others were getting by well in society and I have thought that perhaps I was stupid to insist on this … Now things are changing in a good direction, unimaginable in 1960,” she said.
