Stand up to cancer was founded by Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) who are working out for the cause of prevention and treatment of cancer affected people.

ABC and a variety of other major networks are simulcasting the live cancer fundraiser Stand Up to Cancer Friday night starting at 8:00. Diane Sawyer and the other network news anchors will be joined by dozens of other stars, including throat cancer survivor Michael Douglas.

Along with raising research dollars, the show is designed to make people stop and think about their risk of cancer and what can be done to reduce the risk.

If you want to be screened for cancer, but can’t afford it, the American Cancer Society can help.  You can call them at 1-800-227-2345.

Well, if your one of those who received  Twitter’s new terms of services in your Email Inbox, don’t be shock for that.

Twitter has altered its  Terms of Services and Privacy policy after getting a series of complaints from the user.

Twitter, a social networking website, that is almost used  by whole of the people leaving in various part of the earth has a famous and powerful people into it.  Right from US President Obama to the Hottest and smartest celebrities followed by the People who browse online use  the Twitter service.

Though how much popular it be, Twitter has indeed  been a long victim for Copyright Infringement and  Hackers heaven.  I still remember how   i was unable to login into twitter for many hours , 3 months ago and later twitter posted that it has been attacked by hackers making them to Shut down the website for maintenance for  1 day.

And now, Twitter has  made its  rules stronger and clearer.

1 .   Twitter Basic Terms  says to user that,

“Post the content in  Twitter  on your Own risk , which is to say  the user that is posting a  article in twitter might face copyright violation”

This statement  by Twitter clears the air  on the risk of  posting an Content in twitter.

2. Twitter Password:

Here  twitter strongly says to the user to make a best case of  password with the combination of upper, lower, alpha numeric.

The problem is, a user cant remember such a password. This is the real fact

3.Content on the Services

Twitter clearly  informs the user  on the issue that  Twitter will not be able to monitor and control the content that a user post.  Twitter  openly admits that  the content  posted  here can be risked for copyright and the user  should post any content on Twitter on his own interest.

4 :The Services are Available “AS-IS”

Now this is the most  important message from Twitter.  Twitter in their terms of conditions clearly states

Pregnant Woman from Swine flu located areas “Be aware”. This is what the latest thing  swine flu has made the government officials do.

A Study conducted by US medicals finds out that, the swine flu hits the pregnant women 4 times harder than normal population. In other words, they  have a greater risk of adopting the flu than the other.

Now this findings has brought upon serious concern for the government. The reason for that is, the pregnant women who catch this H1N1 virus ends up in complicated case with no recovery from the virus. Which makes it a Must and Necessity to give the pregnant women the swine flu control Vaccine if developed quicker.

The Study that revealed the shocker was conducted on  34 pregnant ladies as mentioned in BBC News. Out of which 6 died reportedly.

Five of the other admitted women underwent caesarean deliveries. Four of the babies have now left hospital, and the fifth, born very prematurely, is doing well. Luckily,none of the babies showed any sign of swine flu infection.

Dangerous CTRL+C

Oh yea, just using Ctrl+C shortcut to copy any sensitve information can put you at risk! With the combined help of Javascript and ASP or any server side programming languages the data from your clipboard can be sent through the web to a hacker. And we all surf with our javascripts enabled as majority of sites require javascript to be enabled in order to function properly. Hope that you haven’t copied a credit card number recently before surfing! I surely have done that mistake. But so far I didn’t have any problems.

So, how do you fix this problem ?

Simple! just follow these steps:

1. Go to Internet Explorer’s options under tools.

2. Click the Security Tab.

3. Click Custom level.

4. Look for “Allow Programmatic Clipboard Access” under “Scripting”.

5. Disable it.

I am currently using Google Chrome and it doesn’t seems to have this issue. Looks like by default its fixed. I am pretty sure Firefox has also fixed this issue, anyway you guys can check it.

Bypass Surgery can be a Killer!

The popular bypass surgery that has been used on millions of patients worldwide to fix a vein blockage leading to the heart and thus saving millions of lives can actually be an killer. The doctors have so far used endoscope to remove leg veins for heart bypass surgery appears to actually damage veins and make the patients 52% more likely to die within the next three years.

Endoscope is the latest technique that are used by doctors to remove the vien from the the leg with much less pain and scar. Endoscope is a technique in which the doctors use guided cameras into the body and with the help of it remove the vein causing much less scar compared to the traditional method known as the “open harvesting”.

About 70% of bypass patients now have the leg vein removed endoscopically, in part because it produces much less scarring and infection to the leg.

Now doctors have reported that this technique can actually damage the veins and might be responsible for future heart attacks to the patients. The study of 3000 patients found veins removed by the endoscope the technique was significantly more likely to become clogged within a year or so.

At the 12 to 18 month mark, 47% of the patients had at least one of their bypass grafts fail, versus 38% for whom the blood vessels were removed by the older method. Most patients had two or three grafts. The older method does seems to be safe statistically, but its purly dependant on the patient. I don’t think it is right to call the Endoscope Bypass surgery a killer. It is a life safer. It just helps the doctors extend the life of the patient. But untimatelly every one has to die. So extending the life involves risk but it has to be done or else the patient will die  sooner.
