Michael Jackson's Final Rehearsal

Michael Jackson in Final Rehearsals

There have been reports all over the internet. I don’t know where these things started but mostly they will turn out to be true. The reports suggest that Sony has made a bid of $50 Million for the video of Michael Jackson’s final rehearsal videos for his ‘This is it’ concert. The video footage is around 80-hours long. The video is currently in the possession of AEG and the Jackon’s Estate. The reports also suggest that the reason why Sony wants these videos is because they are planning to produce a movie with these footages.

Whats more ? The movie could be in theaters before the end of the year, and possibly as early as October.

One of the video footages also contain the 3D version of ‘Thriller’ but its not clear whether this will also be included in the movie.

A bidding war erupted in Hollywood after concert promoter, AEG Entertainment, shopped the footage to movie studios late last week, blogger Nikki Finke first reported on Deadline Hollywood Daily.

Its not just Sony thats trying to get its hands on these footages. It also seems like Paramount, Universal, 20th Century Foxand Warner Bros are trying to make a bid for the footages.

Looks like Michael Jackson is all GOLD even after his death.  One thing is for sure, I would really want to have a look at those footages as they ARE the final performances of the King of POP.
