Looks like the hottest gift this Valentine’s day is a ‘Cockroach’. Well its not just any cockroach, so don’t get too excited on how much money you can save. Its a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach. WOW! That sounds sexy!

New York’s Bronx Zoo is offering you the rarest of the rare opportunity to name a cockroach after your Love. Man, it sounds soooo romantic!! Your valentine will be all over you for this present.

“Flowers wilt. Chocolates melt. Roaches are forever,” the zoo said on its website about the name a roach gift, which was also billed as a limited Valentine’s Day offer. Check it out @ BronxZoo.com

More than 1,000 people chose the cockroach option for their Valentine in the first 24 hours of the offer this week, a zoo spokesman said.

Its gonna cost you only $10 to name a cockroach after your valentine to show how much you love(hate) her.

So, for $10 you get a roach named after your valentine and your valentine gets a certificate explaining that there is a special insect living at the zoo with his or her name on it.

Madagascar Hissing Cockroach is the largest and noisiest variety of cockroach. A nice way to tell you girlfriend how you really feel about her.

Anyway, this is a very limited offer as they are only 58,000 unnamed roaches in the zoo. So, HURRY UP!!

DFW Airport has been completely shut down this Tuesday morning thanks to icy weather.

Its one of those days where an individual curses weather, i am sure today is already in that  list. Argh, its taking a toll out of me.

DFW Airport spokesman David Magana said the tracks are a layer of ice, but the teams are working to make them disappear. He said the center plans to reopen within a few hours.

Thanks to this ice storm schools have been closed along with mass electricity shortage in Texas.

DFW Airport is not alone in ice filled runways problem, we have other Airports that faces similar type of  situation.

Thousands of flight tickets have also been reportedly canceled. The authorities are informing the passengers who are already in the airport of the possible delay in take off.

Latest report coming from DFW Airport is that  “One of the runways has been cleared and is reopened while the crew is clearing out other runways”. That sounds great!

Whats up with Amazon?

Amazon.com has no plans to carry the Verizon iPhone, a spokesman said late Thursday. “At this time, we do not have plans to carry the Verizon iPhone,” a spokeswoman for the company said. “I will be in touch if that changes.”

Although companies sometimes deny plans to launch a product until it launches, the more typical response is to simply refuse to comment, or decline to comment on “rumors and speculation”. A Verizon Wireless spokeswoman said Thursday that the company has not announced its plans to offer the iPhone through dealers and resellers.

Amazon typically offers phones at just a fraction of what the carriers offer them, either through the main Amazon.com site, or at a beta site, wireless.amazon.com, where the phones are arranged via carrier and price. Verizon sells the HTC Droid Incredible, with an online discount of $150 and a new two-year contract, for $99.99. Amazon offers it for a penny.

But Amazon does not offer the iPhone directly, either from its site or from wireless.amazon.com.

Verizon will offer a CDMA EVDO version of the iPhone 4 starting February 10. Existing Verizon Wireless customers will be able to start pre-ordering the device on February 3. The 16GB version with a two-year contract will cost $199.99, while the 32GB version will cost $299.99. The device will be available at more than 2,000 Verizon stores, via Verizon’s Web site, at Apple Retail stores, and via Apple’s Web site.

Meanwhile, Amazon’s new wireless store is designed to provide a more comprehensive way of choosing between carriers.

“AmazonWireless is Amazon.com’s new cell phone store,” the site explains. “We know that choosing a cell phone and service plan can be confusing, so we’ve worked hard to design a cell phone store that’s easy to use. You use your Amazon.com account when shopping on AmazonWireless, and we back all AmazonWireless purchases with Amazon.com’s world-class customer service.

During this Beta phase, we’ll be testing different features and gathering input from customers to ensure AmazonWireless provides the best-possible shopping experience,” the site added. “When our customers tell us the shopping experience meets the bar they’ve come to expect from Amazon.com, we’ll officially launch the store.”

The store also appears as Verizon removed one of its discount programs.

“A simpler program is being introduced to replace the 10-year-old New Every Two and Annual Upgrade programs,” Verizon spokeswoman Brenda Raney said in an email on Thursday. Customers under contract prior to January 16, 2011 who meet the qualifications for the New Every Two or Annual Upgrade will be grandfathered in to use the benefit one more time, she added.

The new program will require customers to hang on their devices for 10 months on new one-year contracts, or 20 months for new two-year contracts, the Verizon spokeswoman said. That can translate into a savings of about $400 for the iPhone, said the The Wall Street Journal.

David Nelson dies at 74

Actor David Nelson, the last surviving member of the wholesome television family portrayed in “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet,” has died at age 74, his spokesman said.

Nelson died in Los Angeles on Tuesday of complications from colon cancer, his representative Dale Olson said.

He played a fictionalized version of himself as the eldest son of the Nelson family in the sitcom “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” during the series’ entire ABC run from 1952 to 1966.

Viewers were treated to a depiction of idealized suburban American life, and to the domestic exploits of David and his younger brother, Ricky, who went on to become a popular singer, as they grew up on the small screen.

David Nelson also starred in a number of movies, including the 1990 release “Cry-Baby,” in which he played the father of the female lead.

Nelson is survived by his wife, Yvonne, four sons, a daughter and several grandchildren.

Lindsay Lohan's case to be further investigated

The Riverside County district attorney’s office wants another investigation before deciding whether Lindsay Lohan will be charged with battery for last month’s skirmish with a Betty Ford Center rehabilitation technician.

Prosecutors and investigators met Wednesday and decided that the office’s investigators will further probe Lohan’s alleged skirmish with rehab worker Dawn Holland, said John Hall, spokesman for the district attorney’s office.

Lohan is accused of tussling with Holland after the 24-year-old actress returned to the rehab center past curfew on Dec. 12 and refused Holland’s request to take a Breathalyzer test.

Police said earlier this month that Lohan violated her probation and wanted her charged with battery. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has said Lohan will be jailed if she violates probation. Her next scheduled hearing before the judge is Feb. 25.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Engaged

The rumors of Prince William and Kate Middleton getting engaged is now true. Its has been  confirmed by Prince Charles himself.

A spokesman for Prince Charles says Prince William has given fiancee Kate Middleton the engagement ring that belonged to his late mother, Princess Diana.

The ring is an oval sapphire surrounded by diamonds.

Royal officials announced Tuesday that William and Kate will marry in the spring or summer of next year, giving Britain its biggest royal wedding since Charles married Diana in 1981.

Last month, a jetblue employee named Steven Slater rocked the world by abusing the passenger and jumping off the plane.

Earlier, we reported in our website why steven jumped off the plane.

“Jetblue fight attendant Slater and a passenger got involved in a serious argument followed by the passenger abusing Slater.

In return Slater said  “For the passenger who called me F**ker, F*ck you and he jumped off the plane”

Yesterday, the JetBlue management confirmed that Steven Slater has been terminated from the service to the company.
