The police and the army have said that they have found a bomb in an Ireland bus and has been made safe. The bomb was detected and was defused just hours before the Queen’s arrival in Dublin.

The device was found in the luggage compartment of a bus traveling on the outskirts of Maynooth in County Kildare west of Dublin, officials said.

It was found late Monday night and was declared safe early Tuesday morning after a controlled explosion by bomb disposal experts. The bomb parts were given to the police for testing and investigation.

Bomb experts also examined at least one other suspicious object discovered Tuesday but police concluded the small device was a hoax and did not pose a threat to public safety.

Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny said the threat from dissidents is minimal because of the police’s extensive security arrangements.

“They’ve put in place a comprehensive security operation. You’ll recall we’ve had American presidents here before, a pope,” he said. “So obviously while there have been incidents, the Gardai (police) have been able to deal with those.”

Queen Elizabeth II is the first monarch to visit Ireland after it gained independence. Her visit has not been welcomed by many and has lead to protests.

DFW Airport Shut Down due to bad weather

Posted by Shane On February - 1 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

DFW Airport has been completely shut down this Tuesday morning thanks to icy weather.

Its one of those days where an individual curses weather, i am sure today is already in that  list. Argh, its taking a toll out of me.

DFW Airport spokesman David Magana said the tracks are a layer of ice, but the teams are working to make them disappear. He said the center plans to reopen within a few hours.

Thanks to this ice storm schools have been closed along with mass electricity shortage in Texas.

DFW Airport is not alone in ice filled runways problem, we have other Airports that faces similar type of  situation.

Thousands of flight tickets have also been reportedly canceled. The authorities are informing the passengers who are already in the airport of the possible delay in take off.

Latest report coming from DFW Airport is that  “One of the runways has been cleared and is reopened while the crew is clearing out other runways”. That sounds great!

Atlanta Airport Delays

Atlanta Airport Delays

Atlanta Airport Delays, Flights were essentially frozen in and out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for days because of snow, and the state of emergency was issued in Georgia.

Parts of Atlanta have received up to five inches of snow, which is very rare for the region.

Four of the five runways at Atlanta airport are open Tuesday morning, but the city roads are still bad, and it was difficult for airport employees to go to work.

“We are told that our flight was canceled, there are no other flights because of weather, and the sooner they could come back to the house is in one day,” said Dave Watkins, whose trip home to Hawaii after visiting Walt Disney World includes a connecting flight in Atlanta. “So we will not be home at night” until tomorrow instead of this afternoon. “Wife of Dave, Satoko, was not too concerned when the couple arrived home. “Unlike him, I did not have to work tomorrow,” she said. But there is a glimmer of relief Tuesday.

AirTran said it plans to resume operations, but with a greatly reduced flight schedule. Six of the nine flights AirTran Tuesday from Orlando were still on schedule by 8 pm.

Delta said it would receive four flights to Orlando on Tuesday. However, the airline said it still has at least 1,400 cancellations planned nationally.

Flight delays expected to continue through Tuesday and maybe Wednesday.

The winter storm expected to move up the East Coast, creating problems for passengers getting in and out of airports highest on the east coast later in the week.

Mark Ingram suffers Knee injury

Posted by Shane On August - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

It’s never good news to hear that a player has been injured, but this will certainly make Nittany Lion fans choke back a little smile. Alabama’s reigning Heisman-Trophy-winning running back suffered a knee injury in practice on Monday.

Alabama running back Mark Ingram suffered a knee injury late in Monday’s practice, coach Nick Saban announced in a statement Tuesday, and has been ruled out for Saturday night’s season opener against San Jose State.

Ingram, who last year became the first Crimson Tide player to win the Heisman Trophy, had “an arthroscopic procedure” done Tuesday morning, according to the statement.

“It was a situation where everyone involved thought it would be better to take care of now, so he would not have any issues with it later in the season,” Saban said.

All that is known for now is that Ingram will sit out week one. After that he’s day-to-day so there’s a good chance he could come back when Penn State travels to Tuscaloosa on September 11.

Alabama is still Alabama, and they are loaded with talent. But playing them without Mark Ingram, or even Mark Ingram at 50%, only helps Penn State’s chances.

Infosys HR has accepted that he killed his wife Priyanka because she was stopping him for an illegal affair with other woman.

How it happened!

On Tuesday morning while returning home from jogging, Infosys HR finds his door locked. After waiting for few minutes ringing the bell, he  decides to take the duplicate house key from his office. So, he goes straight to office, and returns home after an hour since his wife called for help informing him that there are 2 strangers in home.

He opens the door and finds his wife murdered. He later informs family and police on the incident.

He looks very dreadful. One could tell he was the most troubled guy on Earth living at that time.

Indian Police investigates the Scene and files FIR. Police suggests they are considering every angle of murder also adding they cannot avoid Husband role in the murder and the reason for it is listed below.

Infosys HR mistakes that made him a suspect

1) He went for Jogging with leather shoe.

===========Police says who on Earth will jog in Leather shoes?

2) Techie had his company Id card with him.

===========Techie claims he had it with him for safety and personal identification.

3) Why didn’t he rush straight to Police Station or break down his door, instead of going all the way to the office for getting the key

==========Techie adds he was dumbstruck after he received no reply from his wife. So he decided to take duplicate key from office.

That’s it the report was over and he went out for his normal life.

A week past, on 13 aug 2010, Indian police tracked him down with an woman and found out the real reason behind the murder.

Why Infosys HR killed wife?

Wife Priyanka, was in his way from having an illegal affair with other woman. Priyanka who is a teacher herself continuously warned the techie to stop seeing other woman. Unbearing it, the techie killed her.

This  unfaithful person calls himself educated???  Out of lust he killed his wife and now he cannot escape the law. This is a stain for all Educated people.

UPDATE

How Satish Gupta killed Wife Priyanka!

Satish asks his wife to play hide and seek with him. Agreeing on Husband’s request, Priyanka covered her eyes with black clothes.

Satish grabs priyanka and asks her to sit in a chair. Unaware of what is going to happen priyanka obeyed that.

Utilizing the opportunity the Psycho HR, tied her with robes. And Strangled her. Making sure she is dead. He then cuts her throat down.

The blood which ran over the floor also spilled over his jogging shoes. He removes  the shoe and hides it. And later  goes up to jog with leather shoes.

This is what Satish confessed to Police.

Sources say, The motive behind the murder of Priyanka is due to Strained relation which they both shared.

The earlier information on Wife Priyanka calling Satish stating 2 strangers were in the home is a drama created by Satish. Being a techie himself, Satish managed to confuse the cops and create a story of wife calling him for help.

However, truth has finally been revealed!

Several days of cold temperatures and a bit of snow make for a dangerous combination on Cincinnati-area roads this Tuesday morning.  Roads are slick, causing several crashes overnight and leading to the delay or cancellation of school for some kids today.

Local 12 Meteorologist John Gumm says we received just a dusting of snow to perhaps an inch in most parts of the Tri-State overnight.  There will be snow showers and flurries throughout the day.  There could be an additional inch or less of accumulation.

Roads in the northern counties have been slick since late last night.  A slick spot caused a semi-truck to jackknife on I-71 in Deerfield Township around 9 p.m. Monday.  No one was hurt but because of a fuel leak, I-71 north had to be closed until just after midnight.  There were also four crashes overnight on I-71/75 in Northern Kentucky which officials say are weather-related.  The most serious involved a car and two semi-trucks near the Florence exit.

Crews say road salt works when temperatures stay in the mid to upper teens, but if the temperatures dip much lower, road crews will have to use something stronger.  Hamilton County crews have been out treating roadways since late last night and reinforcements were called in around 3 a.m. to try and get the roads into shape for the morning commute.  Most of the main streets are wet with a few slushy spots but many side streets have yet to be plowed or treated. The conditions are leading the the decision by dozens of local school districts to cancel or delay the start of classes today.

Thursday could be more interesting.  A winter storm may bring several inches of snow in the area

4157501516-washington-subway-urged-to-upgrade-before-crash

Transit authorities in Washington, D.C., had been warned to upgrade older subway cars before a crash on Monday that killed nine people, U.S. investigators said on Tuesday.

Federal officials investigating the crash, the deadliest in the 33-year history of Washington’s Metro Area Transit Authority, said a 2006 warning to retire or modernize older subway cars like those involved in the crash went unheeded.

“We recommended to WMATA to either retrofit those cars or phase them out of the fleet. They have not been able to do that and our recommendation was not addressed,” National Transportation Safety Board spokeswoman Debbie Hersman said at a news conference at the scene of the accident.

Seventy-six people were taken to hospitals after one train slammed into another that was stopped on above-ground tracks during the afternoon rush hour, Washington Mayor Adrian Fenty said.

A Metro news release later said the figure rose to nine after more bodies were pulled from the wreckage.

The operator of the moving train was among those killed in the crash, which drove one train on top of the other. It remained there on Tuesday morning as workers attempted to clear the wreckage.

Metro said it could take weeks or even months before the cause of the crash was determined.

2004 ACCIDENT

The NTSB, a federal agency, had urged the Metro system to replace older subway cars or upgrade their crashworthiness following a 2004 accident that injured 20 passengers, federal records show.

Metro general manager John Catoe said changes to the rail cars would be made if needed.

“Any car that strikes another vehicle at a certain rate of speed and with a certain amount of weight, you’re going to have some major damage,” he said.

Metro spokesperson Lisa Farbstein said the car which struck the waiting train was among the oldest on the system and had been in service since Metro opened in 1976.

She added that about 290 of Metro’s 1,126 cars were original, and that Metro officials were in the process of soliciting bids for replacements — although cost was an issue.

“We don’t have the money in place to replace them,” she said. “We believe that they are safe to have on the rails.”

The crash occurred on the heavily traveled Red Line about 5 p.m. EDT (2100 GMT) on a relatively lengthy stretch of track near the city’s northeastern border with Maryland, where trains can build up a considerable speed.

Both trains were heading south into the city. The leading train had stopped because it was waiting for another to leave the Fort Totten station, officials said.

It was unclear why the second train had not received the stop signal as well, or why the operator did not manually stop her train when she saw the blocked tracks ahead, officials said.

Passengers on the second train said it did not slow down at all before impact.

“There was no attempt at braking. We just slammed into whatever we slammed into,” passenger Theroza Doshi told Reuters.

Washington’s Metro system needs more than $7 billion to keep its fleet of trains and buses in good repair through 2020, Catoe told Congress in recent testimony.

It also needs to replace one-third of its rail cars, some of which are more than 30 years old.

The U.S. recession has caused the system to cut its operating budgets this fiscal year by 10 percent.

Last month, it had to tap reserves to help close a funding gap for fiscal year 2010 that at one point was projected to reach $154 million. Despite the problems, rating agency Standard & Poors in April raised the system’s credit rating.
