swine-flu-mustacheThe World Health Organisation (WHO) is urging people around the world to brace themselves for a second wave of the swine flu pandemic as the heavily populated northern hemisphere edges towards the cooler season when flu thrives.

“The WHO is still mobilised and worried,” spokesman Gregory Hartl said as the global health watchdog kept an anxious eye on some “mysterious” patterns of illness associated with the new A (H1N1) virus that appeared in April.

WHO Director General Margaret Chan warned on Friday that there had been second and third waves in previous pandemics.

“We cannot say for certain whether the worst is over or the worst is yet to come,” Chan said in a videotaped address to a symposium on flu in the Asia-Pacific region.

“We need to be prepared for whatever surprises this capricious new virus delivers next,” she added.

Some 1,799 people have died since the A(H1N1) was uncovered in Mexico and the United States nearly six months ago, according to the WHO.

By comparison, an estimated 250,000 to 500,000 people die around the world every year from seasonal flu, and overall the symptoms of the new pandemic virus have proved to be mild in the great majority of known cases.

Swine flu has spread swiftly into 177 countries, proving to be more infectious than seasonal flu and more durable through warmer months. Some 182,000 people worldwide are known to have caught swine flu based on laboratory confirmed cases, but the WHO has long advised countries to give up counting; the true number may in the millions, according to some experts

Michael Jackson King of POPMichael Jackson’s chef Kai Chase, has finally spoken about Dr. Conrad Murray’s activities at the house, who is apparently emerging as a prime suspect in the investigation.

She claimed that she almost everyday saw the doctor come downstairs carrying oxygen tanks from the icon’s room, but on the unfortunate day he did not and she “thought maybe Mr. Jackson is sleeping late.”

“I started preparing the lunch and then I looked at my cell phone and it was noon. About 12:05 or 12:10 Dr. Murray runs down the steps and screams, ‘Go get Prince!’ He’s screaming very loud,” the Telegraph quoted her as telling in an interview.

She narrated: “I run into the den where the kids are playing. Prince (Jackson’s oldest son) runs to meet Dr Murray and from that point on you could feel the energy in the house change.

“I walked into the hall and I saw the children there. The daughter was crying. I saw paramedics running up the stairs. We were all praying, ‘Help Mr Jackson be OK.’ Then everyone was very quiet.”

The sudden use of Oxygen tanks made her wonder for a minute on whats

happening!! she claimed she saw no sign that Jackson was on drugs or was in failing health. The facts could be incriminating for Murray whose house and office have been raided by drugs enforcement agents.

The late King of Pop reportedly wanted Chase to travel with him to London for his O2 concert. It shows how kind hearted MJ was. I miss him :(

She added Michael’s 12-year-old son, Prince Michael II, personally made the request to her.She recalled: “Prince said, ‘Daddy wants me to tell you he wants you to go to London with us,” I said, ‘Tell your daddy that I’m pleased and honoured.”

After weeks of close observation  over the swine flu situation, the WHO has finally decided to declare the flu as Pandemic. World Health Organisation(WHO) has also alerted all the member nation on thursday, stating it as the global pandemic. This is the new flu virus to spread globally after the last flu seen before 41 years. The global countries that are affected are Mexico,USA,Europe, South Asia, Australia,South America and many more places.

With an Emergency meeting concluded with its officials, the WHO  has raised the alert phase from level 5 to level 6 which is the highest level to reach. WHO chief Dr. Margaret Chan was expected to make a formal announcement soon.

“At this early stage, the pandemic can be characterised globally as being moderate in severity,” WHO said in the statement, urging nations not to close borders or restrict travel and trade.

The declaration of  pandemic by WHO ,will now confirm that this is the most crucial spreading flu across the globe and the need to prevent it with medical care arised. The drug developers are now working on it to produce more vaccination possible for swine flu. Besides this, WHO has now on talks with the countries urging them to prevent themselves in all possible ways from the infection of swine flu.

WHO also told countries it was in “close dialogue” with flu vaccine makers and it believed the firms would work “to ensure the largest possible supply of pandemic vaccine in the months to come.” The rate of increase in affected persons is climbing more per day and if the WHO and the drug makers didnt act fast than expected it will cause more damage through out the globe.

The US now has 2532 confirmed cases of swine flu after a jump in figures in recent days official say. It is really a staggering increase, the cases are now up around 600 since Friday. This means the US has now surpassed Mexico as the most affected nation. In Mexico there are currently 1626 confirmed cases and it is trying to get back to normal but as far as US is concerned there is only three confirmed deaths whereas in Mexico there are at least 48 people who have died due to swine flu.

In Mexico people worked over the weekend to clean and disinfect primary schools which are due to resume classes after a two week break but this is not the same case in all the states in Mexico some states are planning on delaying the return to school for another week amid more suspected new cases.

Secondary schools and universities have already reopened last week as part of a gradual resumption of business after a shutdown of several days ordered by the Mexican government in a bid to stem the outbreak. Mexico was the first country where the outbreak of swine flu came to light. Globally now there are at least 4300 confirmed cases of swine flu across 30 different countries this includes China which on Monday reported its first case on the Chinese mainland.

Most of the cases in US has been mild with the third death being reported on Monday.

“More cases, more hospitalizations and more deaths from this outbreak will occur over the coming days and weeks, ” a CDC statement said.

“This increase in testing capacity is likely to result in an increase in the number of reported confirmed cases in this country which should provide a more accurate picture of the burden of disease in the United States,” the CDC said.
