WWE’s Iconic wrestler Edge retires from Wrestling.

As i predicted before Wrestlemania 27, Edge announced his retirement on Monday night Raw aired on April 11.

Edge who is known as the Rated R superstar, joined WWE in 1997 where he accomplished many titles defeating the then greats to become WWE champion. His latest title was in Wrestlemania 27 where he successfully defended his title against Alberto Del Rio.

Why did Edge retire from WWE?

Let us look deep into the fact  on why did he retire.

According to WWE.com, Copeland (Edge)  has been suffering from Neuropraxia, a spinal condition which caused numbness and trembling in the arms. He suffered a neck injury and underwent spinal surgery in 2003.

The website also states: “Medical professionals cannot clear Edge to compete ever again in WWE, since doing so could result in paralysis or even death.”

The revelation caught most fans and wrestling insiders completely unawared and is thought to be legitimate and not part of a storyline.

WWE advertised Edge making a big announcement several times during Raw, even hinting at the fact it might be to announce retirement.

In an odd insight into how wrestling psyches worked, most assumed this would be a swerve. Sadly, it was not the case.

On Raw, Copeland addressed the live crowd, coming close to tears as they chanted “Thank you Edge”. The cameras then caught up with him backstage as his colleagues broke kayfabe to form a guard on honour for him.

Well, another Legend has retired. Its sad for WWE who has already lost so many fans thanks to the retirement of Shawn Michaels.

Sin Cara has made the most expected WWE debut, the night after Wrestlemania 27.  Sin Cara, who is a Mexican wrestler, signed up with WWE on Feb,2011.

How did Sin Cara made his debut?

Sin Cara, made a thunderous debut on Monday night Raw, aired on April 04,2011.  We saw United States Champion Sheamus destroying Daniel Bryan. When it looked like Mr.Bryan is done at the hands of Sheamus, there arised the masked figure who come forward to the ring to assist Daniel Bryan.

Upon seeing the masked figure, WWE fans erupted with roar and cheers as they knew who it was.

Way to go, Sin Cara!!! Welcome to a new journey.

Wrestlemania 27 has been concluded and we have the results now.

I told you earlier to expect the unexpected, the Wrestlemania 27 results just proved that. Even, i am surprised with some of the results.

I wondered why Rocky stopped Cena from winning the title. I reckon, the Rock want to win the title and then challenge Cena. Triple H loss to Undertaker is well known since beginning. So no surprise here.

The only thing that was not a spoilsport was Edges victory over Alberto Del Rio.

Wrestlemania 27 results

Wrestlemania is back!! Wrestlemania, the action packed event which the entire world awaits will begin at April 2, 2011.

This Wrestlemania 27 is going to be far more superior than previous Wrestlemania for  three reasons.

1. We have Rock hosting it.
2. We have Stone Cold acting as the guest referee for the match between Jerry the King Lawler Vs Michael Cole.
3. Finally, we have Shawn Michaels who said he could not miss the greatest moment of the Wrestlemania. Shawn said this at the final edition of Raw before Wrestlemania 27.

Confirmed Matches:

The Rock will serve as the Guest Host

• The Miz vs. John Cena for the WWE title
• Undertaker vs. HHH for the streak match which is a No Holds barred match
• Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World heavyweight title
• C.M. Punk vs. Randy Orton
• Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan for the United States Title
• Jerry the King Lawler Vs Michael Cole  with Stone Cold as Guest Referee
• Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes

Our Thoughts on the Matches

The MIZ Vs John Cena

I believe, John Cena will win the title. As we see a huge story line building up between John Cena Vs Rock , i am surely expecting a title clash between the two.

After what we witness in the latest edition of Raw telecasted before Wrestlemania 27 where John Cena puts the Rock under Attitude Adjustment. I am sure that Cena will win the match against Miz, followed by the Rock challenging him.

Undertaker Vs Triple H

No doubt at all! I am very sure that Undertaker will win the match thanks to the outside interference of Shawn Michaels.

Uh Uh, WWE will not give up the Undertaker 18 – 0 streak. I think they will maintain it until Undertaker reaches 20 – 0.

That’s why we saw Shawn asking Triple H ” What in the world that made you think that you could do what i couldn’t? “

I believe they have made the match as a No Holds barred match so that Shawn can act as an catalyst for Undertakers victory.

Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World heavyweight title

Edge will win the crown . According to me, Edge will be given the center-stage at Wrestlemania. I feel, Edge is nearing retirement so its high time they give him the moment which he deserves like any other legend.

C.M. Punk vs. Randy Orton

I dont know what will WWE plan for this match. I am not sure, but i feel punk will make it.

Jerry the King Lawler Vs Michael Cole  with Stone Cold as Guest Referee

Absolutely, no doubt at all.  Jerry the King Lawler will achieve his first Wrestlemania moment with the help of  Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes

Rey will be victorious in this match.

Well, as said above, lets wait for the real event to kick start.  I will update the Wrestlemania 27 results here once the matches commences.

Are we seeing a feud building up between the game “Triple H” and  the deadman “The Undertaker” ? Yes we are!

What Triple H vs Undertaker facing each other?Are you joking?

Lol, let me tell you what happened this monday night raw aired on Feb 21,2011.

The Iconic Undertaker returned back to raw but before we see Undertaker completely getting settled in the ring, Bang! came a sound ” Its time to play the Game” followed by the dazzling entrance from Triple H.

Both   superstars stare each other and performed their own gestures. Undertaker making the throat gesture, in return Triple H giving  him the DX chop. Cool!

Lets come back to reality, its Wrestlemania around the corner and we were missing both Icons Undertaker and Triple H.

What benefit will it give Wrestlemania 27 without the presence of these stars, who have been known for Wrestlemania heroics!

As fans prayed to see these stars, they both returned which means both need a opposition to face this Wrestlemania 27.

Why not they face each other? After all it will be a perfect feud, Triple H wanting to take revenge on Undertaker for retiring his long time friend Shawn Michael’s. It makes sense.

I must admit a key factor is  troubling me. Undertaker is remained unbeaten in Wrestlemania history with 18-0. After nearly a year, Triple H has returned. If the script writers want Undertaker  to remain unbeaten then definitely Hunter has  to lose. This will make me sad.

If they want to show Hunter in the spot light then surely Undertaker’s unbeaten streak has to be broken 18-1.

Whow, this is really going a deep conversation. In the end, i just hope both the superstars not retire. I think, Its not just me thinking Undertaker retirement is around the corner. Dont you think the same???

Yes, two of the WWE Legends returned during Monday’s RAW. Undertaker came out after the video played. But his enterence was interrupted by Triple H!

Taker and Hunter eventually engaged in a staredown. Hunter looked at the WrestleMania 27 sign. Taker eventually did the same and then smirked at Hunter before starting to leave the ring. Taker stopped, walked back toward Hunter, and made the throat slashing gesture. Hunter backed up and gave Taker a DX chop. They continued to stare at one another to end the segment.

The fans really went crazy on seeing the return of their stars.

The WWE Elimination Chambers 2011 took place at the eve of Sunday night on feb 20,2011. The results of the PPV is not a surprise for a WWE fan and here’s why!

John Cena  won the Raw Elimination Chamber Match:

Definitely, there is no surprise here. The Great One, People’s Champion “The Rock” wanted Cena to be at Wrestlemania 27 so that he could challenge Cena. As expected Cena won the Elimination Chamber match against 5 other superstars. He will now face the WWE champion The Miz at the Wrestlemania 27.

The Rock said he will see Cena face-to-face at Wrestlemania 27, now that means  John Cena is about to win his 10 th WWE Championship title at this Wrestlemania. I see a very great feud between John Cena and The Rock. For more on how John Cena Won the RAW Elimination Chamber Match, see the link

Edge retained his World Heavyweight Champion by winning the Smackdown Elimination Chamber:

There is no surprise here. Honestly, the WWE script writers are making out a feud between Edge and Alberto Del Rio. I dont see them stopping the feud in near future. For more on How Edge won the match, see the link below

WWE Champion The Miz defeated Jerry Lawler

Although, i admire the bravery of Jerry the King Lawler, i was really surprised to see him compete for the championship match.  I agree that he is a veteran, but at his age competing against the young Miz, surely he must have gone nuts. For more on the match see the link below

Alberto Del Rio defeated Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingstion

An exhibition match which i am sure was favored to Alberto Del Rio by the script writers. The reason is simple its Alberto Del Rio who is going to Wrestlemania 27 , not Kofi Kingston. They wanted to show how tough Alberto is and they did it. For more on the match see the link below
