John Cena Vs Brock Lesnar, John Cena Loses!

Posted by Tommy On April - 30 - 2012ADD COMMENTS

John Cena and Brock Lesnar went head-on-head against each other. While everyone believed the victory was in John Cena’s pocket as Brock Lesnar was has not participated in any pro wrestling matches for a long time, in fact since 2004.

But, somehow Brock Lesnar won and it was one hell of a victory for Brock Lesnar. He destroyed John Cena to smithereens.

Brock Lesnar was the favorite to win the contest, as he had just recently returned to the company after an 8 year absence. When Lesnar arrived on the April 2nd edition of WWE Raw, he made a impressive impact by assaulting Cena. He then escalated the violence the following week by brutally pounding Cena, resulting in a bloody lip. Lesnar’s loss may be meaningful, but in the grand scheme of things, it was his performance that really stood out.

In one amazing moment during the match, Brock Lesnar vaulted from the center of the ring and flew over the top rope onto John Cena. As Lesnar gracefully soared through the air, his foot got snared up in the ropes and he tumbled to the floor and fell flat on his back. The loud thud echoed through the arena. The tumble would’ve killed a regular man. But the hulking mass known as Brock Lesnar stood up and shrugged it off. His toughness and resiliency was established.

After a few more minutes of back and forth action, Cena was finally able to lift Lesnar onto his broad shoulders and deliver a standing firemans carry. Lesnar landed flat across the steel steps, which had been placed in the ring earlier in the match. As the referee counted three, the crowd erupted. The crowd in attendance weren’t cheering for Cena or Lesnar. They were cheering because the bout they witnessed was an awe-inspiring landmark and a true example of what professional wrestling can be.

Though significant from a storyline perspective, Brock Lesnar’s loss at WWE Extreme Rules was not the career killer. In fact, it may serve him best in the long run. Lesnar could not spend the next year being unstoppable. This victory serves as a reminder that Lesnar is human and can be beaten. And the match itself serves as proof that when you get the chance to see Brock Lesnar wrestle, you must tune in because you will not be disappointed.

A real disappointment for John Cena fans.

Did the Miz and R truth Really get fired?

Posted by Riz On September - 23 - 20114 COMMENTS

WWE COO Triple H has fired the Miz and R truth!

Why did Triple H fire them?

Well, it all goes down to the Night of Champions Pay Per View where The Miz and R-Truth beat up two Referees during their match against WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston.

The team of Miz and R-Truth  further attacked and beat up Triple H and CM Punk during The Triple H vs. CM Punk No-disqualification Match.

For some people including me, we suspect this as a whole new level of  WWE’s Storyline development to run their weekly episodes.

Besides, The Miz is the brand value for the WWE. Its very unlikely that WWE would let go of the Miz to some other company.

The whole firing in my point of view is a drama.

However, WWE.com has added the spice for the storyline by officially quoting,

WWE has come to terms on the release of The Miz and R-Truth as of today, Sept. 19, 2011. WWE wishes Miz and R-Truth the best in all of their future endeavors.

Randy Savage “Macho Man” passes Away

Posted by Riz On May - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

Randy Savage, as known as “Macho Man”, has passed away. He was 58. His death comes as a real shocker to the WWE as well as the WWE fans all across the globe.

How did the Macho Man die :(

Savage suffered an Heart attack while he was driving in a car that led to the one-car accident in Pinellas County, Fla. He later passed away in the Largo Medical Center of injuries sustained in the collision.

NYtimes reports His brother, Lanny Poffo as saying,  Savage was driving with his wife, Lynn, about 9:25 a.m. when he passed out at the wheel, drove over the median and hit a tree. His wife had minor injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

WWE in its official website has posted the following message.

“WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of one of the greatest Superstars of his time, Randy Poffo, a.k.a. Randy “Macho Man” Savage. Poffo was under contract with WWE from 1985 to 1993 and held both the WWE and Intercontinental Championships. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family and friends. We wish a speedy recovery to his wife Lynn. Poffo will be greatly missed by WWE and his fans.”

For me, he will always be remembered as the “Macho Man” who changed the face of the wrestling industry in the 80′s.  We will never hear the (“Ooh yeah!”) catch phrase or see the trademark Sun Glass again :(

RIP  Macho Man.

Thats What I am’, is the latest WWE Studios release that will hit the screens on April 29, 2011.

Ed Harris, Chase Ellison, Amy Madigan to be seen along with the WWE Superstar Randy Orton  in WWE Studios’ “That’s What I Am,”. With this release, Randy Orton joins the rank with Dyawne Johnson, John Cena, Ted dibiase to star in a WWE productions.

About the Movie

The movie story line as reported in IMDB continues below

A coming-of-age story that follows 12-year-old Andy Nichol (Chase Ellison), a bright student who, like most kids his age, will do anything to avoid conflict for fear of suffering overwhelming ridicule and punishment from his junior high school peers. Everyone’s favorite teacher, Mr. Simon (Ed Harris), pairs Andy with the school’s biggest outcast and social pariah, Stanley, aka “Big G” (Alexander Walters) on a critical term project.

Sporting thick orange hair, a head too big for his body and ears too big for his head, “Big G” has been the object of ridicule since grade school. Before long, Andy will learn that there was truly a method behind Mr. Simon’s madness as to why he teamed these two up. As the story unfolds, Mr. Simon finds himself the target of a malicious rumor after Principal Kelner (Amy Madigan) suspends a school bully for brutally beating up a female classmate who he thinks has “cooties.”

When Andy watches “Big G” fearlessly confront the school bully, a series of events are triggered, which change the lives of both young men – and their teacher – forever. Much to Andy’s surprise “Big G” is brilliant, kind, tolerant and a decent human being, who has more dignity than anyone Andy has ever encountered.

Why did Edge quit WWE?

Posted by Riz On April - 16 - 20111 COMMENT

WWE’s Iconic wrestler Edge retires from Wrestling.

As i predicted before Wrestlemania 27, Edge announced his retirement on Monday night Raw aired on April 11.

Edge who is known as the Rated R superstar, joined WWE in 1997 where he accomplished many titles defeating the then greats to become WWE champion. His latest title was in Wrestlemania 27 where he successfully defended his title against Alberto Del Rio.

Why did Edge retire from WWE?

Let us look deep into the fact  on why did he retire.

According to WWE.com, Copeland (Edge)  has been suffering from Neuropraxia, a spinal condition which caused numbness and trembling in the arms. He suffered a neck injury and underwent spinal surgery in 2003.

The website also states: “Medical professionals cannot clear Edge to compete ever again in WWE, since doing so could result in paralysis or even death.”

The revelation caught most fans and wrestling insiders completely unawared and is thought to be legitimate and not part of a storyline.

WWE advertised Edge making a big announcement several times during Raw, even hinting at the fact it might be to announce retirement.

In an odd insight into how wrestling psyches worked, most assumed this would be a swerve. Sadly, it was not the case.

On Raw, Copeland addressed the live crowd, coming close to tears as they chanted “Thank you Edge”. The cameras then caught up with him backstage as his colleagues broke kayfabe to form a guard on honour for him.

Well, another Legend has retired. Its sad for WWE who has already lost so many fans thanks to the retirement of Shawn Michaels.

Sin Cara has made the most expected WWE debut, the night after Wrestlemania 27.  Sin Cara, who is a Mexican wrestler, signed up with WWE on Feb,2011.

We, earlier, reported on Sin Cara statements on becoming a WWE roaster.

How did Sin Cara made his debut?

Sin Cara, made a thunderous debut on Monday night Raw, aired on April 04,2011.  We saw United States Champion Sheamus destroying Daniel Bryan. When it looked like Mr.Bryan is done at the hands of Sheamus, there arised the masked figure who come forward to the ring to assist Daniel Bryan.

Upon seeing the masked figure, WWE fans erupted with roar and cheers as they knew who it was.

Way to go, Sin Cara!!! Welcome to a new journey.

Well, what do you know! we now have “The Awesome” WWE champion The Miz in a new movie role.

IMDB.com lists WWE performers Mike Mizanin (a/k/a The Miz) and Layla El (a/k/a Layla) as cast members of the upcoming movie Stainless Steel (2012).

The synopsis of the film reads: “Former underground out-law, John Steel is hired from the CIA to bring down 4 members of a silent corrupt group within the FBI.”

I think, The Miz is going to hit a jackpot with the WWE. finally WWE has motivated and recognized a  superstar other than John Cena and Triple H.

I still feel, have they shown the same sort of compassion with Batista, he might have not left WWE!
