Youtube Attacked by Porn!

Posted by Tommy On August - 22 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

A massive attack is being done on Youtube. Though the attack might seem simple with hundreds of porn videos being uploaded to it. It really seems to be a serious problem.

Youtube is already aware of the issue and says that it seems to be a ‘planned attack’.

The funny thing about these porn videos are that they are fully disguised and pretty hard to differentiate them from other videos. The shocking thing is that they are disguised like kids cartoons or shows. Most of them seems to be named like ‘Hannah Montana’ or ‘Jonas Brothers’ .

Youtube tackling new problem due to large scale porn uploads.

The video seems all fine for the first few seconds or minutes. But after that it skips to porn. This would really caught the kids off-guard. This clearly seems to be prank targeting little kids. The thing is its not funny.

One parent who has parental software installed in their home computer to prevent his 11-year-old son from viewing unwanted content found his son viewing pornography on youtube. The thing was his son just tried to watch some cartoons.

This prank is really disturbing gladly Youtube is working on fixing it.

Google Boss Warns on Social Networking

Posted by Tommy On August - 18 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Google boss Eric Schmidt warns that, “Young people might have to one day change their names to escape their previous online activity.”

I think that day is already here. With the overnight celebs in youtube for the wrong reasons, its obvious that the next time these people need to use internet they have to go on a new identity.

Ok, lets see what more Eric had to say, ” I fear they did not understand the consequences of having so much personal information about them online.”

Hmm, that seems to be a bit off. Did he not notice that company he works for is actually investing more and more into social networking then ever before?

Eric Schmidt

This is Eric Schmidt

Google has recently acquired Slide and Jambool, two firms specialising in providing services for social networks.

Slide is gaming firm, whilst Jambool provides virtual currencies and payments. Google has also reportedly invested in another social network gaming firm called Zynga.

Many believe the acquisitions are a sign that the search giant is about to launch another social network. Some commentators have already given the rumoured product a name: Google.me.

Wait there is more : Google already owns two social networks, Google Buzz and Orkut. Also Buzz was caught in a controversy when it linked up with people’s Gmail accounts without asking them and making their contacts were publicly visible.

Mr Schmidt said: “I don’t believe society understands what happens when everything is available, knowable and recorded by everyone all the time… I mean we really have to think about these things as a society.”

Ok, Mr Schmidt. I think that you have no idea what Google is doing behind your back or you are just frustrated that none of Google’s social networking worked? Or trying to cover-up how you and Google failed to make a presence in social networking? or are you trying to break Facebook and your other competitors ? Nice try!

Whats really ironic is that Google’s boss is talking about ‘consequences’ of putting too much personal information online while their search engine seems to be doing just about the opposite of that and tracking every single human that accesses its services.

Posted by Tommy On July - 25 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

I just came across something very interesting. YouTube has added the Classic Snake Game to its video player!! If you are on a low-bandwidth this would be great to kill some time till the video loads.

Its seems to work in all the video, Here how you get it to work :

Playing the hidden game!

Playing the hidden game!

1. Pause the video.

2. Continuously press the left arrow key.

3. Notice the rotating loading indicator just go straight.

Thats it, use arrows to control it and find the dots!

I tried it and have to admit that its pretty hard controlling that snake.

Its unclear how long this has been available in youtube. This feature was never announced.

Try it!

HTC Aria World's First Sense Phone

AT&T Wireless has just announced the HTC Aria, the second Android phone to join the network’s lineup this year. The Aria is AT&T’s first device to run Android OS 2.1 and the first to include the HTC Sense UI.

Sense aims to streamline and enhance the mobile experience and offers features such as the Friend Stream, which integrates Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr updates into a single mobile social-networking experience. AT&T is positioning the Aria as a petite powerhouse–it measures just a bit more than 4 inches long and weighs just 4.05 ounces. A “soft touch” back cover eliminates sharp edges and make the Aria comfortable to hold.

The device has a 3.2-inch HVGA, a capacitive touchscreen display, and a 5-megapixel camera, plus an optical joystick designed to make navigation easier. The full suite of Google Android applications is included, such as GMail, Google Maps, Google Navigation, and Google Search, plus YouTube and the Android Market.

Other features include HSPA for faster downloads and Wi-Fi wireless networking; customers will also have free access to AT&T’s more than 20,000 WI-Fi hotspots nationwide. The HTC Aria will be available on June 20 for $129.99 after a $100 rebate with a new two-year agreement.

The Sprint EVO 4G commercial has finally hit the internet and the TVs as well. This Android phone is much cooler than the iPhone 4G! The phone has 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and it runs Android 2.1.  The phone, which has 4.3 inch screen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, has video recording facility with 720p at 25 frames per second. HTC EVO 4G is very first Android based phone having front-facing camera.

Even though Android 2.1 doesnot have built in feature of video calling but there was app called Qik which can be used for video chatting. The app cost $5 per month. As far as price in concert, Amazon show list price as  $499 but shows $199 with Sprint’s service plan contact. Sprint is also selling it for $199 after $100 mail-in-rebate.

2 year old smokes 40 cigarette a day

Posted by Riz On May - 27 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

A 2 year old from Indonesia wants at-least 40 cigarette a day to remain calm.  If  his condition is not fulfilled the kid will mess around  shouting, screaming to depth of hell  until he is offered a cigarette.

What the ….   this was my reaction  after  coming across this post.

Man, the kid Ardi looks healthy though.

This is what  Ardi’s 26 year old mom diana has to say on the issue

“‘He’s totally addicted. If he doesn’t get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick.’”

Of course, Ardi is brand loyal and will only smoke a premium one that costs £3.78 a day. The government has offered to purchase the Rizal family a car if they can get Ardi to kick the habit, but his parents are not overly concerned with their son’s smoking. Says dad Mohammed:

‘He looks pretty healthy to me. I don’t see the problem.

Lol, The video is not available in youtube because its against their Terms of services.
