Right to Education is the task government keen to pass in the budget session

The  Manmohan singh cabinet is keen to pass the Education bill in the budget session that starts this July. This will be the first session of the newly formed Indian government under Dr. Manmohan singh. The bill focus on the right of every child of the age group from 6 to 14. The bill was actually introduced 4 years ago and was still on hold in the Rajya Sabha.

The present government decided to pass it soon citing education for all as the step towards development.”The agenda of my ministry is to pass the Right To Education as soon as possible. Hopefully, it will be passed in July when Parliament meets,” Sibal said at an Education Fair organised by Assocham.

Education for all was very tough task for the ministry as many people are below the poverty line. The main problem is their economy condition.

“Today many muslims, backward groups and slum people have very low access towards education. Their economy condition is the reason for not sending their children to schools. So the major challenge is to provide access to education,” Sibal said. Availability of teachers in remote and rural areas is another issue. Today for every 60 students  only 1 teacher is available . The government seems to work on it though to create more teachers available for the students.

The  great thought is that providing the Broadband facilities for panchayats and providing education through it will be a master stroke if implemented. And guess what Government is considering the move.
