ING Hartford Marathon

Jeannette Faber, last year’s ING Hartford Marathon winner, won the race again, five minutes faster than she did last year.

Faber of Somerville, Mass. finished in 2:41:06.

Michael Wardian of Arlington, Va. won his sixth marathon of the year, finishing the 26.2-mile race in 2:24:38.

Pat Tarpy of Providence, R.I. was second (2:25:01) and Jeff Howley of Providence was third (2:25:10).

Michelle Lowry of Woodland Hills, Utah was the second women’s finisher (2:47:09) and Eileen Combs of Schenectady, N.Y. was third (2:51:43).
