Kelly Clarkson Will Make Guest Appearance in Nashville

Kelly Clarkson will be joining Nashville for a guest appearance.

The ‘Underneath the Christmas Tree’ singer will star in one episode of the musical drama’s second season when it returns to ABC in January.

“As you recall, one of the most popular songs of last season is a song that Gunnar and Scarlett wrote – ‘Fade Into You’,” showrunner Dee Johnson told TVLine. “And in fact, in real life, [Clarkson is] actually cutting that song.”

The pregnant Grammy winner is set to star in episode 11 of the show, which will air on ABC in January 2014.

Nashville is not Clarkson’s first TV stint, having already appeared in an episode of CBS’s The Crazy Ones.
