Thfire.com Everyday news that matters A rare He- She Butterfly has been hatched. The Butterfly is the combination of both Male and Female sex organs which means its Half Male and Half Female.
The birth of the butterfly is described as the rare combination as there are very little known cases of such He-She births.
The reason behind this rare sexual chimera is due to the lack of sex chromosomes separation during fertilization.
“So you can understand why I was bouncing off of the walls when I learned that… [it] had emerged in the puparium,” said butterfly enthusiast Luke Brown from London’s Natural History Museum.
The Butterfly will join the Museum in the coming weeks.
