Anonymous Goes After Indian Government

Anonymous Operation IndiaAnonymous is back in the scene! They have gone an rampage attacking Indian Government websites and websites of the political parties in India Congress and BJP.

Anonymous has been out of the news for quite some time now. After all the arrests of Anonymous members by the FBI, they did take a back-foot but looks like they are back stronger then ever.

Now, the reason why they are charging against the Indian Government is simple. A media company in Chennai, South India won a restraining order against the ISPs to block major torrent and media sites as they are a threat to the movie industry and have caused heavy losses for them.

The d-day was 17th of May. On that day all ISPs have to oblige and they did. All ISPs blocked the website as ordered. The end result was major uproar in the Indian internet community and finally Anonymous noticing and swept into action.

Anonymous has code-named this operation, OpIndia.

You can watch their YouTube message below:

Some of the major sites blocked includes ThePirateBay, DailyMotion, Vemo, IsoHunt, etc.,

You can follow the action live on Twitter at #Anonymous, #OpIndia and #SaveTPB

Do you think that censoring the internet should be stopped? Why does government want to regulate and control everything? Tell us!
