Looks like its official now that the Patriots have traded Richard Seymour to Raiders. Well, atleast they have been confirmed by Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe and Adam Schefter of  ESPN have tweeted about it in

Later The Patriots themselves have confirmed the news again via Twitter. Looks like Twitter is becoming the official platform to pass the news to the masses.

Richard Seymour was drafted by the Patriots in the first round (sixth overall) in the 2001 NFL Draft out of Georgia and has been a part of three Super Bowl Teams. He was named to the Pro Bowl five times in his career (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006).

In 101 career games with the Pats, Seymour had 357 tackles, 39 sacks and two interceptions.
