In God We Trust remains US motto

Amid the global economic crisis and the state of  its  own [US ] citizens in jeopardy, we have a topic that is currently being debated all over the state. The topic on debate is whether to keep the words “In God We Trust” as the US motto.

Today, a resolution was passed on the house “reaffirming ‘In God We Trust’ as the official motto of the United States.”  396 people of the House voted in favor of the current US motto whereas 9 remained skeptical.

Now, this resolution puts the national confusion to rest. The confusion begin when some political leaders and others who were not comfortable with the word God in the motto, raised their voice to either remove the motto or change it.

Representative J. Randy Forbes, Republican of Virginia said, “What’s happened over the last several years is that we have had a number of confusing situations in which some who don’t like the motto have tried to convince people not to put it up.”

“Some public officials have stated incorrectly that there are different national mottoes,” he added. “We heard the president make that mistake.” (Last year, President Obama cited “E pluribus unum” as the nation’s motto in a speech in Indonesia.)

“This is something I have paid a lot of attention to over the years,” Mr. Forbes said, pointing to discussions of the motto, which officially became that of the nation in 1956, throughout the last century in Congress. “If you look at the debates, they clarified that the motto had spiritual and psychological value.”

While Some question the necessity to remove Church [ as i already quoted above, the word ‘GOD’ ] from the state affairs. We believe the resolution will put rest to everything.

I am amazed, how the topic got the spotlight in the first place when we have so many issues on hand for instance- The WallStreet protest, increasing Poverty, Dollar Collapse.

Ah, the probable answer will be – to create a means of diversion from the current issue. In my view, a diversion to the Wallstreet protest.

When People wake up in bunches against the crap, the diversion is always a tool for the power!!!

I still wonder, whether the decisions taken by White House in its life time is in accordance with the God law?

Average Joe will reply with an answer No which puts the words ‘In God We Trust’ in the backseat.
