Lol! The Hungry termites have eaten nearly $225,000 cash in a Bank of India.

The incident took place at an Indian Bank located in Uttar Pradesh, India.

I am surprised with the negligence of the bank officers. What were they doing?

Same Old Action:

The State Bank of India says an enquiry into the latest incident has been held.

“The branch management has been found guilty of laxity due to which the notes were damaged by termites in the Fatehpur branch of Barabanki district,” State Bank of India Chief General Manager Abhay Singh told the Press Trust of India.

“Action will be taken against those responsible in the matter.

“At it was the bank’s fault, it will bear the loss caused due to termites… there will be no loss to the public.”

Ms Singh said that identity numbers on the majority of the notes were still intact, which meant that they could be replaced.

Bank officials discovered that the notes – which were kept in a strongroom – had been damaged by termites earlier this month.

Ms Singh said that directives had now been issued to all branches that stored currency in strongrooms to ensure that the condition of the cash is checked every two months.

Reports say that the branch where the money was stored was old, seldom properly cleaned and known to be a haven for termites.

“It was earlier brought to the notice of the management that termites were damaging files and furniture. Efforts are on to relocate the bank at some other place,” Ms Singh said.

I guess, the bank officials have lot to talk to its customers when they storm the bank for their money.

A dream effort made by Microsoft to join with Yahoo in order to challenge Google still remains a dream.

Lol, Google the giant search engine is untouched in any way you can imagine with the Microsoft-Yahoo deal. This is why we say Google is the best.

Let me date you back on the Microsoft-Yahoo deal.  Microsoft,2 years ago, decided to pair up with Yahoo to provide a tough challenge to Google in its market value thereby introducing a new search engine named Bing ( A Good catch phrase) in order to attract US based visitors.

As we predicted earlier in our site, the effort of  Microsoft and Yahoo still remains a low profile as Google is and will be the top search engine.

I strongly feel Google cannot be brought down by any other search engines. If you look at the estimates Google produced until December 2010. Google got 67 percentage of US search visitors whereas the Yahoo and Bing combined got near 30%.

Can you see the difference!!!

Marketwatch reports Microsoft Corp. Chief Executive Steve Ballmer as saying,  “the company’s Bing search engine, which also powers Yahoo Inc.  searches, has shown steady growth since it was launched two years ago and now accounts for about 30% of the U.S. Internet search market.”

Google, i believe, will come up with some key techniques to improve the US search traffic once they dealt with their new mobile launch.

Sachin Tendulkar has shocked the cricketing world by accepting the very fact  a cricketer hates to speak.

Sachin Tendulkar, the Legend in the cricketing world, has accepted the fact that he sledged Australia’s fast bowler Glen McGrath to keep the momentum in the cricket match and to give India a chance to win the match with the then-powerful Australian attack.

According to the book SACH by Gautam Bhattacharya as reported in Yahoo, Tendulkar says

“I have never sledged  merely for the sake of sledging. I did that only once as a part of team strategy. This was at the Kenya Champions Trophy. We were playing Australia.”

Tendulkar describes how he irked McGrath with a cheeky line.

“The match was played under overcast conditions. The wicket was also very damp. I had told Sourav before that I would do something to upset McGrath’s rhythm. So, in the very first over, I stepped out to him. The first thing I said to him was ‘Today I will hit you out of the ground.’ He got really angry and started spraying the ball around. This was exactly what we wanted. As on that surface, he may have been very dangerous.”

“We did win that match ultimately and I felt very happy. My sledging did work for the team.”

“My own experience of sledging came very early on my first tour to Australia. I remember having blocked a delivery and the ball landed near my foot. I tried picking it up when Allan Border shouted from gully, ‘Don’t touch the ball.’ So I stopped immediately.”

Gosh, this changes things isnt it. Sachin is known as a gentleman in the game but even the Cricketing gentleman has sledged.

Lol!  How can a game be competitive without sledging. The sledging done by Sachin created good competition between India and Australia. I guess it must have been a treat to watch.
